You say “ Eat some portabella mushrooms and take a walk in the sun in your speedo.”

BINGO - Well, walk during the peak hours of UVB rays - which is the window between the sun above the 53% altitude...

Four YOUR ‘back yard” keep track with the Navel Observatory chart - For ex: In my yard, right now - NO UVB rays - but by April 2oth, I’ll have a window from 11:20- 1:30! ANd longer each day until mid-July when it starts getting shorter and gone around mid-Sept. (This is why we get ‘Cabin FEver’ up here by February - becasue our summer’s store of D3 has depleted. Also, they theorize that lack of D3 is implicated in MS - which is far more prevalent in northern climes...

Wow, niacin at night? Mild dose, I hope. I can’t imagine trying to sleep with a niacin flush.

Yes. That’s 36 5k gelcaps. They are tiny and I took 31 of them in one “bite.” They are easy. You do that if you already have flu or a cold. I had skated for a year because my flu bouts had always been very mild and seldom then that one year I was miserably sick and sore all over. My wife brought me the gelcaps and I took the 31 of them that was indicated. I was over it by evening. That round of flu laid most everyone else that got it out for 6-10 days. My wife had read about it and was using it for a few months already. I had been skeptical and had declined.

Try Animal Flex. It’s a multi-vitamin joint pack used by weight lifters. It has worked well for me, though it’s a lot of pills. I also take a fish oil supplement and recently added MSM. Check out Kala Health MSM on Amazon.

Amen

But should check out your ‘window’ for the GOOD rays, UVB’s - in your area.

Needs to be above 53% altitude.

Right now, in my ‘back yard’ up in the north -NO UVB! But by April 20th, I’ll have a ‘window’ from about 11:20 to 1:30 - this window will get wider until mid-summer and start getting shorter until it closes in mid-sept- until NEXT April.

For YOUR back yard - check for your 53% altitude window here.

Mine was a bit lower than that, and my dr has me on 50K IU every 2-3 weeks. I get annual blood tests, and I’m back in the normal range.

Here is the relavant quote from that article.

“If your vitamin D level is below 50 or over 100 nanomol per litre, there is an greater connection to deaths. We have looked at what caused the death of patients, and when numbers are above 100, it appears that there is an increased risk of dying from a stroke or a coronary. In other words, levels of vitamin D should not be too low, but neither should they be too high. Levels should be somewhere in between 50 and 100 nanomol per litre, and our study indicates that 70 is the most preferable level,” Peter Schwartz states.

For flu you already have the formula is 900 units per pơund of body weight taken all at once. Do it on a second day if you still ail. ................. Do you mean here that if you weigh 100 pounds you take 90,000 IU. If you weigh 200 pounds you take 180,000 IU's.

That is correct. At 170 pounds I took 31 of them. I’ve been taking two a day ever since. I work at night and sleep in the daytime so I don’t get to quit taking them in the summer.

great post.

Think about it. folks.

What happens when plants don’t get enough sun? They DIE.

The sun is a life giver - but with the UVB rays - which are present as long as the sun is above 53% altitude - otherwise, they have a much shorter life-cycle.

For YOUR UVB window - use the Naval chart below - YOu might want to consider using high amounts of D3 when the sun in your area is below the 53% altitude - When to sun falls below the 53% altitude, like here in the north - things begin to die - leaves die and fall off - and don’t come back until into April, when the ‘window’ comes back - a few minutes longer each day. (Gosh, the sun has an effect on all living things on earth. What a surprise.)

For 223 pounds, yes. You can find it on line, Mercola, I think.

Get some Hydrogen peroxide and wash your clothes AND use a washcloth to wipe down your whole body with it every other week or so- and then put a quart in the water and soak in it- USE WHOLE QUARTS of it - it is less than a buck a quart.

I put one in the bath, and use a washclother to wipe down my whole body with ANOTHER whole quart while stading in the tub and then soak. every other month or so.
Use it in the laundry, clean your kitchen. Ever wonder why your doctors office does NOT smell like bleach? They clean with it.

................
Your post struck me as pretty sound. But I didn’t understand the significance of hydrogen peroxide. What does hydrogen peroxide have that soap doesn’t have or anti bacterial soap has too much of.

Thanks, I did a little research. Its good to add vitamin k2 to the mix. Here’s the ratio.

For every 5,000–10,000 units of D3 being recommended and tested for, we are recommending 100 mcg of K2 mk7 to be sure and prevent the inappropriate calcification that higher doses of D3 alone could cause.
