The White House has announced a goal to train 75,000 workers in the solar industry by 2020, many of them veterans. "These are good-paying jobs that are helping folks enter the middle-class," President Barack Obama said on Friday at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The plan will expand on the Department of Energy SunShot Initiative's Solar Instructor Training Network currently running at more than 400 community colleges. The White House also announced the Solar Ready Vets program aimed at helping veterans transition into the solar industry. A joint program between the Department of Defense and the DOE, it's currently being launched at 10 military bases across the country, including Hill Air Force Base and Camp Pendleton in California.

Someone should tell Obama that if we use too much solar energy we’re going to use up the sun, then we’ll really be screwed.

it seems the past few weeks Junior has a new idea-i bet some of this comes from Valjar.
There isnt enough work in NW Ohio to keep ten guys busy...or enough sunshine in the winter months for efficient solar.
I asked a simple question and was meet to stunned silence when shown a prototype roof system that basically just attaches through the existing roof shingles (making hundreds of holes BTW)
“what do you do when you have to replace the roof shingles you just put hundreds of holes through?”

I don’t recall my Prof explaining that law in my Engineering Economics class. Just think of all the time I wasted on supply and demand, NPV and IIR analysis, depreciation schedules, Black Scholes models, Phillips Curves, labor relations and all the other claptrap. If only I’d known of Lord Obama’s Rule of Full Employment.
That’s the number of people it’ll take to clean up all the dead birds.

Just wait until the homeowner learns the firemen won’t punch through those rooftop solar panels,to let the smoke out of his burning house and it burns to the ground. Maybe the holes will let in enough water to put out any fires that start.
Yes. Reality is whatever Obama wishes it to be. It’s a good thing, too. Having one guy make decisions for us is just so darned more efficient than Congress!
