As far as services necessary to make sure Americans have access to food, clothing, and shelter, I believe in the civil rights laws against discrimination. No person or family should be turned down for medical services because of the color of their skin or other normal manifestations.

However, this is not the same thing. Nobody is being threatened with loss of life or health because some business won't perform a certain service for them (catering a wedding, etc.) not related to health or survival reasons.

If a business follows a discriminatory policy that you don't like, there are other ways to deal with it besides dragging in the government to institute fascist policies. Use your pocketbook. Don't shop there. Encourage others to not shop there. Boycott the place. Use your own natural liberty to freely not associate with them. Use the power of the free market and the free marketplace of information to disassociate yourself from such a business.

In other words what has happened to the pizza parlor these past few days. I'm not sure I would agree with him on that.

In the Indiana fight, the Left has demonstrated that they will go thermonuclear against even a minor act of opposition.

What Scott Walker demonstrated in the Right to Work fight, is that you therefore might as well go for something big enough to be worth fighting them for.

>>Liberaltarians do like to attach their unhealthy practices to racial issues. There’s a difference between serving someone who is black and being forced by law to make a creepy weirdo product with your business name on it.<<

The problem with your argument is that, in 2015, the percentage of the population that would refuse to make a product for a gay wedding is fairly small. Small enough to be crushed.

I, personally, would feel safer catering a gay wedding than catering a party for some Hip-hop mogul and his crew. But I would face a lawsuit if I refused either.

Not sure this really fits the description. Keep in mind that what has happened to Memories Pizzeria goes far beyond boycotting, and into the realm of death threats and other types of actual harassment (which are illegal). If the furthest extent anyone tried to take it was boycotting, I doubt this pizzeria would be too hurt by it. After all, it's located in some dinky little town in northern Indiana where 90% of the population probably agrees with the O'Connors. I doubt they'd be losing too much of their clientele. Notably, pretty much all the people downing them on Yelp were from out-of-state (sometimes WAY out-of-state), and probably would never have even known the place existed, much less ever eaten there, had this controversy not happened.

Every law where the victim defines the crime must be repealed.

No argument from me. By attacking the unions I think walker has cut at the root of much liberal support. Separating the armies of education employees from that Democrat party may have some very desirable benefits in the long run.

Now we need to attack the roots of the finances of Liberal media. We have to cut off the money supply to these left wing propaganda agents.

But getting back to the main point, Walker is having some real world success, and he is my current favorite for President. I think he knows not only how to fight, but what specifically needs fighting.

By going after the public employee unions, Walker cut a major source of funding AND a major supply of political activists.

The state university’s “social science” depts are another source, and THAT’S had some funding cuts.

A third major source of funding and activists are the multitude of “non profits”, many of whom get federal grant money. Walker can’t do much about them as gov, but COULD as president.

The way to cripple the Left’s power is to go after their funding.
