IMO, he should have gotten serious prison time for his false testimony before Congress. Sadly he fed the egos there on the Left and they bought what he said. Even if they didn’t believe him it served his and Katherine Graham’s purposes.

This "deal" will turn out to be good for no one but the Iranians and maybe, in the short run, Kerry. Not the the U.S., not the the other Arab nations in the middle east, not Obama's legacy, and definitely not Israel. Iran will get everything they wanted, including the bomb and Kerry will get his Nobel Peace Prize. A prize given by a bunch of leftists to other leftists. It may be the only medal Kerry ever keeps, given his history of tossing his military medals away.
