Cell phone video reveals final moments inside cabin before deadly Germanwings crash
Fox 13 ^ | 3-31-2015 | CNN Wire

Cell phone video found at the Germanwings Flight 9525 crash site reveals the sounds of passengers screaming in the moments before the March 24 crash, the French magazine Paris Match and the German tabloid newspaper Bild reported, citing a source close to the investigation.

Both publications have issued descriptions of the video but have not published the video.

“The scene was so chaotic that it was hard to identify people, but the sounds of the screaming passengers made it perfectly clear that they were aware of what was about to happen to them,” Paris Match reported. ”

One can hear cries of ‘My God’ in several languages.”

I don’t know about you all but I have no desire to see this video, I don’t need to see the horror these people went through, the transcript was enough.

I absolutely agree. Just imagining it in my mind is more than enough. I feel so terrible for those people. They knew what was coming.

bild.de doesn't do google translate.

Here's a cut and paste version:
Paris - were from the last moments on board German Wings flight 4U9525 there is a video that BILD and the French magazine "Paris Match" view. It is a few seconds and documented what happened immediately before the crash on board.

The storage medium with the video sequence that survived the crash apparently unscathed, was found on the scene of a person belonging to the group of investigators. This video is an important piece of evidence!

Although the scenery on board is chaotic and totally blurred and no individuals are identified, the authenticity of the video is unquestionable.

The recordings were made very back of the plane. It is unclear whether this was done while standing or sitting. It is also not known whether a passenger or crew member has filmed.

The video supports the statements of the French prosecutor Brice Robin, who has given a detailed press conference last Thursday.

► The screams can be heard on the video, showing that the passengers on board knew in what a desperate situation they were in. In several languages is the cry heard "My God".

► The video also seems to confirm what the previous analysis of the voice recorder found: At least three times you can hear clearly metallic beats. Apparently the pilot tried to the end, break up the cockpit door - either with an ax or other metal objects.

► Shortly before the end of the video seems to be part of the aircraft touching a mountain. The video can be seen that the car is thrown with a blow to the side. Once again you can hear people cry - then the video ends.

Why can still be obtained in the mobile phone these shots, although the machine crashed on the mountain?

Mobile Phone Tester Dirk Lorenz (43) of "Stiftung Warentest": "The fact that a smartphone to survive a crash, I think is unlikely. Memory card in it, however, can be very durable. Even if a mobile phone is divided into a thousand pieces, the memory can still survive, for example, if the device has cushioned the impact. "

it’s been SOP to develop all rolls of film found in airliner plane wrecks for decades

I noticed a show on weather channel last night covering the Air New Zealand Flight 901 disaster and it showed film recorded near the end of the flight. Very sad to realize all those people shown were just about to die - at least they didn't know it. Only the cockpit crew had a few seconds of warning. To sit there for a few minutes as the aircraft inexorably descends to your death has got to be like walking down to death row to be executed. Especially when you realize there will be no reprieve.

The question is, who carried it off of the crash site, which should be under strict control?

Why does it matter exactly which investigator found it?

The real article is here.

Will there be live streaming crashes someday?

That's a serious proposal, but has been rejected heretofore because of pilots' objections and the expense of satellite bandwidth. It obviously would have been very useful in the MH370 case.

“I don’t need to see the horror these people went through, the transcript was enough”

Im always a little turned off by that concept. That something like this, or video of a beheading, etc,, is too difficult to watch. The people it happened to would likely WANT you to see it, and would be disgusted at the idea you simply had to see what they had to LIVE through.

They would want you to be so pissed off that you’d demand change in a system that thought a fag with a long documented history of mental illness would make a fine airline pilot. The beheaded would want you to demand B-52s level Mecca. etc,,

watch the video if it gets out,,,common decency demands you do that rather than acting like its too upsetting to see.

My phone won’t work in my house very well, nor in many buildings on my campus.

It wasn't phoned. It was merely recorded.

And I’ve had some not survive a drop by my hand (3, 3 1/2 feet off the ground). How did they find ANY phones that survived a 500 MPH+ crash into a mountain?

They didn't claim the phone was still working, only that they were able to read its memory chip.

So, we learn its wing hit first.

Does anyone know if the FDR has been recovered yet? Not that it will be all that interesting, given what we already know.

Exactly. And obviously, the person who recorded deserves credit.

Is this a serious question? Of course investigators would check every single cell phone found. Odds are all calls each passenger made in the weeks/months prior to the crash have been documented and analyzed

Exactly right, someone facing imminent death got out their phone with shaking hands, turned on the cam and filmed it all. They were practically screaming at you to please see what happened.

I guess I just think imagine if you could somehow be face to face with those people. Could you ever make yourself look at them and say “ohhhhh,,, that’s too difficult for me to look at”?

Maybe it’s apocryphal but I heard of a similar situation where a passenger’s camera caught a picture of oil on the window, showing engine failure as the cause. Without that, they would have never know. Ghoulish to think of it, but also at the moment of impact people who have their finger on the shutter release tend to click it, voluntarily or otherwise.

They knew what was coming.

Few of us have that opportunity to get right with God, knowing that the end is not only inevitable but NOW.

“The investigators would collect every cell phone they could find, and examine every one that is still intact. They are evidence of a crime, that could be used to piece together what happened.”

....that could be used to piece together or
cover up what happened.

Yeah it was a serious question as I had no idea how it works..heck I had no idea that a cell phone could even sustain a crash like that

If I were a passenger of a plane about to crash into a mountain, making a cellphone video would not be on my mind I would be in fervent prayer.

Exactly. Murder is an ugly, horrible thing. These people deserve that we choke back the bile and watch their demise. Then ask the hard questions as to why the little freak who murdered them was allowed to operate in a position of trust.

We’re being massacred by political correctnesss.
