Incensed that Republicans want to abolish Obamacare and that the “billionaire class wants more and more for themselves and less for working families,”  socialist U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont barnstormed the Bay Area with a spate of speeches and interviews signaling a possible 2016 presidential run.

“If you go to almost any state in this country, including the most conservative, and you ask them if it makes sense to give tax breaks to billionaires while making cuts to Medicare and Medicaid and education, they will say ‘no,'” Sanders said on Monday in San Francisco.

I disagree with Bernie 99.9% of the time, but I think he has personal integrity.

I pray for a Sanders/Warren ticket. It will be enormously damaging to the Democratic Party because, for once, they will take off their mask.

The thing about Bernie is that he actually believes what he says, like Kucinich. Delusional is thoroughly entertaining.

“and you ask them if it makes sense to give tax breaks to billionaires while making cuts to Medicare and Medicaid and education, they will say ‘no,’” Sanders said”

being a rightwinger, I never head of this. Those billionaires are mostly liberals. Why don’t you ask your fellow libtard billionaires to fork over half their dough for the common good then?

If this happens, the Democrats will be officially called the National Socialist American Worker's Party.

Personal Integrity or Political Consistency? There can be a significant difference.

FWIW, I prefer someone who actually believes what they say. You know where they’re at. Cruz/Sessions vs Sanders/Kucinich would be the dream matchup to give clarity to the issues the US faces.

One socialist is as good as another. I think they will find that the country as a whole is not nearly as far left as they think it is.

At this point, Hillary only has two things working in her favor among Democrats: nostalgia for Bill and the fact that the alternatives are somehow worse.

Correct. He is one of the few who actually says whats he believes and has 'integrity'.

He is consistent in his lying, is that really “integrity”?

Sanders is no more an alternative to Hillary than Peter King is an alternative to Jeb.

I still think we will see a new face emerge on the Dems side by late summer or early fall. There has always been a sizeable faction that does not like the Clintons. That faction found Obama. Most likely, they are already grooming someone else -- and not necessarily one with a household name at present.
