The auditor’s death was clearly suicide and related to campaign pressures.
very strange
1) Check his phone for a mystery call moments before.
2) Did the wife get told she's next if she opens her mouth?
The auditor was a respected serious minded fellow. He was not ready for the slime and nasty in-fighting that came when he announced for Governor. It cut his legs and sensibility out from under him. He lost it and killed himself when he saw what laid ahead on the path he had set for himself.
Ferguson had nothing to do with it is my opinion. This guy felt he had let down his captain and followed him to the grave.
Missouri politics is nasty. I knew a guy who did it as a top staffer for 20 years and walked away and became a bar owner working as a bartender and cook saying it was more rewarding mentally.
