Killer pilot Andreas Lubitz once planned to marry his long-term girlfriend but she broke off the relationship because his Jekyll and Hyde personality left her fearing for her safety, it was claimed.
The woman, named for the first time as teacher Kathrin Goldbach, is understood to have called time on Lubitz's increasingly erratic and controlling behaviour just weeks before the Germanwings crash.
Reports emerged that police searching the pilot's flat had found a 'small mountain of pills' and he had apparently been refusing to take his antidepressants medication.

Discontinuing antidepressants is not going to result in an incident where an individual commits suicide and murders 149 people while in the process. There obviously has to be more to this case.
If he wanted to commit suicide while flying, he could have just rented a plane and done it alone.

Actually its on the warning labels. Going off them suddenly, is when homicidal/suidical risk is at its highest.

I agree and disagree with you. Something is still a bit fishy but yes, not taking anti-depressants could certainly pose a rather severe risk. It’s still about the individual though.
I’m just finding the girl friend aspect too convenient and the fact that she recalls him saying something vague about doing something big and changing the system. That sounds like a script.
But nobody credible has claimed responsibility, and I’ve seen only conjecture that he was a recent convert to Islam. So if they are hiding something, I can’t even fathom what it could possibly be.
I’m also seeing stories abut a second GF ... and a stewardess he had a sexual fling with after he broke up with finance.
