Ted Cruz doesn’t have a prayer: Why the Texas senator will never sniff the White House
Salon ^ | March 28, 2015 | Matthew Rozsa, Ph.D. candidate, Lehigh University

Despite what he wants you to think, Ted Cruz is not the great anti-politician of our time. In fact, he may be our most potent symbol of everything that is wrong with modern politics.

This would be hard to believe if you’ve been listening to him, of course. He desperately wants to be thought of as the one principled man in Washington—at least if your values hew closely to those of the Tea Party—but that posturing has alienated much of the party establishment. Ted Cruz attributes that development to them being “squishes,” while the rest of the world suspects it’s because Cruz is the kind of guy who goes around calling his co-workers names like “squishes.”

Of course, being a showboat is forgivable in American politics; if it wasn’t, Bill Clinton wouldn’t still be as popular as he is today. The bigger problem with Cruz is that the thematic basis for his showboating—that he won’t sell out like the rest of the Washington phonies—is a whole lot of bunk, like the rest of his campaign. After all, Googling ”Ted Cruz lies” pulls back an astonishing 7,890,000 results, and on Twitter, the two phrases are basically synonymous....

"Ted Cruz doesn't have a prayer..."

Interesting title and a lie. What the author doesn't understand is that before it's all over, Ted Cruz will have the prayers of tens of millions of Christians beseeching Jesus for a godly President.

The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous (in Christ) man avails much!

Let’s beseech God for godliness to rule our eternal souls too, not just our earthly institutions. What might be taking shape here in the country is but illustrative. It won’t last forever. Can we take the lesson as to what God deserves among our eternal souls?

When Matthew Rozsa attacks Senator Cruz’s wife for being a managing-director for Goldman-Sachs, I conclude this is a another lost soul living in the fantasy land of the Unicorn Farm. Heidi Cruz is taking unpaid leave from her position at Goldman Sachs for the duration of the presidential campaign.

Rozsa reminds me of Rush Limbaugh’s critics who only read the blog-crap-sphere and never heard a word he has said. This Rozsa wins the Pinocchio Award of the day.

Look at Netanyahu’s victory last week. The power of prayer.

Look at Israel surviving the last 66 years, the 6 million versus the 350 million. The power of God.

The power of both can bring blessings in this our world.

A Ted Cruz victory is within that realm, I truly believe, and God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12 verse 3 will further bless this nation if we but embrace it.

She is NOT A MANAGING DIRECTOR at Goldman-Sachs!! She is/was head of the Southwest Region in the Investment Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Look, I’ve been a district manager at several companies. No one ever accused me of being on the board or being a managing director. This is just ridiculous!

The stories of the Jews and of Christians are deeply intertwined, and in a future day of revelation the two lines of Abrahamic faith will merge (with a Jewish acceptance of Christ and a widespread desire of gentile Christians to enter the new combined blessing).

God has promised that the physical line of Jews will not perish (independent of the fate of any individual soul in it). God has promised that the gates of hades will not prevail upon the church (the body of all believers, joined in spirit even against their own earthly prejudices).

America got lazy. It dropped the spiritual ball of the Lord, thinking that its own platitudes could carry it. No, its own platitudes can not carry it, its pride will never suffice to save it. We’ve been suffering the consequences. Now a deliverance appears to be offering itself to us. What will we do with it? It depends on what we do with God. If we try to deal with Him the wrong way — as a license to unleash hate on our foolish neighbors — we will at best delay it, similar to how Moses only got himself rejected as a deliverer when he killed the abusive Egyptian.

Frankly, with our debt, the White House is overrated.

Time for secession. Do not pay anymore the bills of that Federal whore.

The White House ain’t gona get a sniff out of me or Cruz in the future. But Statist arrogance seems to think that the White House is to be coveted, when it is the White House which needs us. Every good leader understands that. the rest are a bunch of materialist groupies.

With the Pinko Commie Clocksucking Left showing their fear as they are, a fear manifesting itself with symptoms of essentially identical to a complete Palin Derangement Syndrome type panic attack... it's like money in the bank... the gift that keeps on giving.

I must say, it's especially fun to see it with your own eyes in everyday life. Last week, a guy I work with was going on and on about Ted enrolling his family in Øbamascare. I just started laughing at him.

The zombies of the Left are absolutely terrified.

If Cruz “doesn’t have a prayer”, then why is this author spending so much time writing about him?

As any other earthly resources, the White House is a good thing when used wisely.

Don’t attach automatic blasphemy to any thing in the world with which the Lord fills with His glory in spite of its disobedience. This only bucks the work and desire of the Lord for the sake of our own short sighted prides.

Right on, Marlowe!

This is better than a full-page ad in the NYT, as far as wind in Crus’s sail goes.

Salon?!! When the radical lefties start slinging such hysterical propaganda, you know you’re headed in the right direction.

Yes! I’m ponying up my hard-earned dollars as well.
