The claimant was an expert and was on FNC. Itc8k6, maybe is not current on airline avionics, how would we know? Put my money on the guy on FNC.
It only recently became operational on the F-16, and even it has limitations.

It is starting to be studied for civilian airliner use, but is a long way from implementation.
Civilian airliners only have warning systems.
