Ted Cruz teaches Republicans a lesson
The Washington Times ^ | March 24, 2015 | Judson Phillips

Posted on 03/24/2015 8:22:21 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

On Monday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz taught the Republican Party a lesson it desperately needs to learn. Mr. Cruz taught the GOP something about winning.

The Republican Party, at least at the national level, is pretty pathetic. The Republicans have lost four of the last six presidential elections. Republicans have actually lost the popular vote in five of the last six presidential elections. Even the two races that George W. Bush won were close. The 2000 election was not decided until weeks after Election Day and even in 2004, Democrat John Kerry kept it close enough that he did not concede until the next day.

Ted Cruz broke the rules with his announcement. A Republican candidate is supposed to play the game. He is supposed to be not interested. Then there are leaks from family and friends encouraging him to run. Then the candidate finally sets up an exploratory committee. Finally, he does what everyone knew he was going to do months ago. He runs.

Ted Cruz broke the model. He didn’t bother with an exploratory committee. He just ran. He went to Liberty University, the last place a Republican moderate would think about going. He made a speech that fit Ronald Reagan’s vision of a banner of bold colors, not pale pastels. He spoke for 45 minutes without a teleprompter.

By breaking the rules, Ted Cruz is showing the GOP something else.

He is the only candidate who can beat a Democrat in 2016....

I fear America is too liberal for Ted, but he makes Jebbie look really, really pathetic.

If even 70% of born again Christians and were to get to the polls and vote for him, it would send him over the top in almost every state that isn't California or Massachusetts.

He is likely to get a very large share of the legal immigrant naturalized citizen voters.

What we need is TURNOUT and the way to get it is to Volunteer and join in the effort.

I will do all in my power to get Ted Cruz into the White House. I owe it to my granddaughter.

Makes me giddy like a school girl thinking about it. I bet Cruz would loose part of his tongue by biting it to keep from smiling. That old hag would scream like the witch on the Wizard of Oz.

For me, the most exciting aspect of a Ted Cruz Presidency would be that he would grab those Renault Republicans in DC by their doughy noses, and kick their unprincipled butts back into the realm of a constitutional America.

For the first time in my life the GOPers have no credible candidate, unless they
get behind Cruz and take the Conservative road.

They got Nothing.

It's also said that he sacrifices to the ancient lord Baʿal and was a Hitler Youth in the 1940's. Have you heard those rumors?

Exactly right. Cruz is the only one who understands you can’t keep doing the same thing over and over.

Yup. As we know, that way lies madness. Ted has the libs going crazy because they want their Republicans safely dull. Ted is anything but dull. People are noticing Ted. He's speaking above the white noise. I think their biggest fear is if they nominate Hillary! or Fauxcahontas in Ted's wake, people will just yawn and say, "She's so ... dull."

We Americans are conservatives. We are for very small government . Democrats didn't change American minds but they imported liberal voters from the 3rd world and that's why the country is moving toward the left(government keeps growing).

Immigration is the issue that decides all other issues

The democrats have imported over 80 million 3rd world immigrants legal and illegals combined since they passed their 1965 immigration act. This act was meant to import tens of milions of voters for socialism/democrats . this act was meant to balkanize America and for cultural/racial marxism.

We Americans are not liberal. We are for keeping government small , limited and out of our lives . We Americans are for the free market. It is these 3rd world immigrants that have moved the USA to left. they are not Americans and don't hold our values. California is the first state to fall . it used to be a conservative state. import millions of 3rd worlders and viola now it's commiefornia

Ann coulter has an excellent article on this

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2014-02-12.html

“With all the smirking on the left about their electoral victories, it's important to remember that Democrats haven't won the hearts and minds of the American people. They changed the people. If you pour vinegar into a bottle of wine, the wine didn't turn, you poured vinegar into it. Similarly, liberals changed no minds. They added millions of new liberal voters through immigration.”

Senator Cruz up there being his humble respectful self, then Hillary being the stern
divisive bitch trying to be a Man.

Yea, I can clearly imagine it.

There are a lot more “born-again” Christians in states like Massachusetts and California than you might realize. If anything around 70% of the were to show up to the polls, Cruz would probably win those states as well.

Then let us consider voter turnout among christians as a moral imperative.

Cruz is a genius debater I’ll give him that. And he would throttle Hillary in a debate. but how will he do against Scott Walker in a debate? I have the popcorn ready

Not to put Scott Walker down, but does he have a debate series named after him?

I am so not looking forward to what happens if we end up with Ted Cruz versus Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is known to not take criticism well and she’s known to have a bad temper—and both could come out during the 2016 campaign. The American people are going to see an ugly side of Hillary that only her close family and closest friends have seen in person.

The PUBs are too busy fighting each other instead of the real enemy.

That’s why they have a hard time being winners.

Two weeks before Easter, the most-attended day recorded in every church. Imagine if millions of Christians were to newly vote.

I respect Walker. I really like Cruz.
Cruz would take Walker In a debate.

From what I know, at this point I will take either of them but Cruz is my first choice.

Imagine Cruz debating Jeb.

I really do like Walker.
