Heck, when I saw the thread title, I thought it was an article about how a slowdown in the circulation of The Atlantic magazine was going to spell doom for us all.
I was somewhat disappointed to learn otherwise. :D

If.only Congress had passed Obama’s cap and trade bill, none of this would ever happen. Sarcasm.

New research suggests the observed slowdown in major Atlantic Ocean currents is linked to the Greenland ice sheet's accelerated melting. The rapid melting of the ice sheet is believed to be a result of man-made global warming Are we surprised that yet more junk science blaming "man-made global warming"?
When are these "experts" going to show us how COOLING average temps and greater ice coverage, particularly in the Arctic, prove WARMING is happening?

I’ve identified the new plan for the warmunists - predict everything, so when something happens they can go back and accurately claim that warmunist scientists predicted it.

The Earth needs to be de-wormed. It is infected by a two massive tape worms, one red and one blue.

Sorry. This is settled science. Trying to account for additional variables now is prohibited.
Data from ice cores, tree rings, coral, and sediments suggest the recent changes are unprecedented since about 900 A.D., which means they are most likely related to man-made global warming.
Hmmm. 900 A.D. Seems to me this is right around when Greenland was named Greenland. Funny how these "scientists" didn't want to address the last time the ice sheets were gone. Not an SUV in sight either.

Do they even read what they write?
If it happened before, in 900 AD, why does it now have to be caused by "man-made global warming"?

It only takes about 10 million years (or is it 100 million?) for a major change in an ocean current to occur.
So now is a good time to sell that ocean front lot so you don’t taka a big loss when the prices drop.
