Another thing is imagine the kids who really worked hard at Dewey and actually learned something.

Grades represent achievement and effort
Socialism limits achievement, effort , and reward (grades) and piles it all together.
That's the effect of Social Justice in a Socialist system - everyone is equal at the finish line.
Back in the Dark Ages, the valedictorian of my class took the easiest classes she could and was in the half day job program which gave her an automatic A. Being valedictorian meant 4 years of free state college tuition. Guess she was the smartest one in our class.
