Exactly True !
People who apply themselves will be held back by the school's reputation .
It is the Socialist way : 'All people are equal' ( at the finish line)
Why bother to keep score at baskeball game ?
Why bother to keep grades up if everyone graduates ?
Grades represent achievement and effort
Socialism limits achievement, effort , and reward (grades) and piles it all together.
That's the effect of Social Justice in a Socialist system - everyone is equal at the finish line.

Back in the Dark Ages, the valedictorian of my class took the easiest classes she could and was in the half day job program which gave her an automatic A. Being valedictorian meant 4 years of free state college tuition. Guess she was the smartest one in our class.
