You did insult WW, and you are careless, stubborn, and dishonest. You could have just said “oops”, but no.

For the second time, what I posted in no way was an insult to WW and even if he thought it were, that doesn't give you permission to say I'm dishonest on FR just because you can type the words on your keyboard.
Let's follow up on this exchange later? Perhaps.

One doesnt even have to read the entire article to understand that Williams is not saying the United States is a Democracy.Absolutely, they only have to read the first short paragraph.

The Economist magazine recently published "What's gone wrong with Democracy ... and what can be done to revive it?" The suggestion is that democracy is some kind of ideal for organizing human conduct. That's a popular misconception.
That's the first short paragraph.
Still do not owe you or anybody an obligation to clink on a link outside FR, especially when the excerpt was not enough to interest a particular FReeper to read more.
Why are you insisting on pimping that particular website?

Democracy is a nightmare from the pit of Hell, which is why the Founders were terrified of it.

It took a moral people to make this Republic work as long as it did. Perhaps there's some correlation with increased depravity of the citizenry in the USA and our loss of this form of government as the Founders intended.

What’s wrong with Democracy?
Hmmm, it works as long as the people VOTING in a Democracy have ‘skin’ in the game.
In other words as soon as the voters realize they can vote in someone who will give them ‘benefits’ without the recipients having to pay for it other than voting then that ‘democracy’ is ultimately doomed.

Well, now, you seem to be keeping him awake too.
