A man with a machete rushed a security checkpoint at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Friday night, cutting at least two people before police shot him, witnesses at the scene said. Authorities confirmed that the assailant was shot three times and said he was taken to a hospital "unresponsive" but did not confirm he died, as some witnesses reported on social media.
