Some 70 years ago, the Supreme Court heard a challenge to the federal statute that was used to convict three officers in the deadly beating of Robert Hall, a young negro from Georgia who had been accused of the crime of stealing a tire. The officers were accused of bludgeoning him to death in the course of subduing himthey claimed that he had reached for a gun and used insulting language, which ostensibly meant that he posed a threat meriting the use of deadly force. But Halls bad behavior hadnt mattered to prosecutors: The officers were indicted, tried, and convicted for violating his civil rights. In upholding the law, Justice William Douglas wrote that the case represented a shocking and revolting episode in law enforcement.
That could be said of the incidents in Ferguson, too. The Department of Justice invoked the same civil-rights law to investigate officer Darren Wilson for the killing of Michael Brown. The only difference is that Wilsonunlike those three officerswill never face a trial. The sole purpose of the DOJ report released earlier this month was to provide a rationale for not prosecuting the officer: that, in its view, the department could not prove that Wilson took Browns life without due process of law and thus violated his civil rights; that DOJ could not show to a jury that Wilson intentionally shot Brown for some unreasonable, malignant purpose other than to defend himself, because he was scared.
These conclusions carry no force of law. The separate report on the abuses by the Ferguson Police Department doesthat one can lead to meaningful enforcement in federal court. But the decision not to prosecute Wilson, in technical terms, amounts to no more than an internal memorandum from junior prosecutors....

And always be afraid of the fact that folks actually buy this BS.
The civil war will come because of them.

“Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” Was Not Built on a Lie: Ferguson’s message is as powerful as ever.

Did St. Swisher say “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” or did he not?
As we all know the answer, we know then IT WAS BUILT ON A LIE.
As they say... Black LIES Matter.
They reached back that far and still came up goose eggs. Their self-imposed hardline of Wilson’s presumed guilt forecloses on any conclusions that don’t confirm and validate.
Bottom line: No matter how long they examine it, the results will be the same - wrong.
Which political party was in control of the White House, and every southern state, from Statehouse to county Sheriff, to local constable, back then?
Momar Gaddafi said “Hands Up! Don’t Shoot!” when Sec. of State Hillary Clinton had him (a POW) whacked.
The Greens? [snicker]

Of course, just to prove I’m not racist, that applies to ALL thugs of any color
Hands Up, Don’t Shoot DIDN’T HAPPEN!
It was based on a lie as the local and Justice Department investigations showed. Mike Brown got himself shot by his own actions.
And of course we know that these cases were identical in every aspect. Well almost anyway. The cops got convicted 70 years ago, so I must conclude that there was no racism involved within the judicial system back then, whereas now it is rampant.
The “Fake but Deeper Truth” argument just like when Rigberta Menchú, Edward Said, Matthew Shepherd, etc. life stories were exposed as frauds.
Pathological liberal liar.
“Pants up, don’t loot!,” however, is based on the evidence.
Well... yes it COMPLETELY was. Here is the guy who MADE UP THAT LIE and told Dorian Johnson to say it.
Who cares what happen 70 years ago? We have multitudes of violent anti white blacks today.
St. Swisher’s hands were not up in a gesture of surrender. He was making a lunge with the intent of taking the police officer to the ground, continuing the scuffle that started inside the police vehicle. Rather than submitting, Michael Brown was trying to disable the officer’s capacity to continue to fire at him.
Lunging with arms raised is very much like the charge of a bear reared to its back feet. Bears do not normally surrender peacefully.
A bullet through the skull is effective at stopping the charge of a bear.
The trouble is, the bear learned nothing from that lesson in manners.
