EXCLUSIVE-MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AI

Full Title: EXCLUSIVE — MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED, ‘PROBLEMS’ MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AIDE

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.

“Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email.

What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.

He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. He’s been left, right, center, and all over the map.

She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

“The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to ‘rescue’ the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools,” Malkin said. “They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging ‘experts’ and ‘communicators’ DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.”

Good-faith answers on your part. Pass, and all’s well.
I’ll try to reply in more detail tonight.

Try the H1B invasion: there’s a war on the middle class from all sides.

You just may have inspired a vanity article.

I’m with Michelle Malkin. Walker is problematic.

Bump. He'll need to be fleshed out on complicated subjects like "immigration" (complicated mostly by the Chamber, as has been pointed out), and flushed out on any waffles or squid-ink clouds.

The good news is, I haven't seen any squid ink yet. But Michelle's right, there is more work to be done and more Chamber agency and contrivance, if it's there, to be flushed, pounded, and sanded out.

Who is Malkin’s darling candidate?

Hey, entropy! You've been asked nicely, twice. Please respond. TIA.

Post the “endorsements” or STFU

How 'bout backing off with the all that spleen? You're challenging him as if he were a DU troll or a gay Mau-Mau on a rampage.

(Wisconsin borders Canada, not Mexico, ....)

Wisconsin doesn't border on Canada, next-door neighbors Minnesota and Michigan do.

But Texas sure as hell borders on Mexico! They used to overlap .... we got a war out of that one, and now the Messkins are trying to overlap us again.

Pardon our tetchiness on the subject of whether someone is trying to finesse that issue by talking around it, while his K Street buddies put the finishing touches on legislation that will dig the GOP's grave.

After SC primary is over, I urge the conservative candidates to unite behind ONE candidate who has the highest delegates won at that point, and is deemed conservative on most issues.

DISAGREE! South Carolina is too early to close the nominations.

Let Texas vote! Last time, the GOP stood by hands in pockets and pretending to see no evil, while the Democraps sued the socks off Texas on a bad redistricting beef. SCOTUS slapped the **** out of them and told them to go home and not return to court; but the Dems went right back to court to tie Texas up until after we'd missed our primary date.

The Dems kept Texas from having a say, because the Dems wanted Mittens and they knew Texas would throw up on him.

Texas is the biggest GOP State .... Texas, for our Electoral College votes and our delegates, deserves to have a say in the nomination fight. Even if you and the RiNO's don't think so.

Indeed.

Do we vet our own candidates in the primaries and caucuses, or allow the Dems and Liberal Media to vet them in the general?

The answer, which Malkin is doing the service of stating, is obvious. Get all the controversial stuff out early, let the candates learn from it and having to address it, and for the one who effectively does so and survives be able to dismiss it as “old news” in the Fall.

This applied to ALL candidates, not just Walker. Anything that doesn’t kill them in the primaries only makes them stronger in the general.

And to add, what would the 2000 election have looked like had Bush come out early and admitted to (and spun to his advantage) the Kennebunkport DUI?

The other side loves October Surprises. I’d much rather force them to fake something up (like the Air National Guard memos in 2004) than to pop out something real.

RE:”I was sure that Paul Ryan would be an excellent VP selection.”

Not me, by the time Romney picked him he was flagged by me as a phony who would be trapped by the MSM.

I was dissing him here in early 2011 when most were cheering him as our future hero, it was over his phony medicare scam reform balanced budget resolution that I alone was calling out as nonsense.

That 10 year two tier system under 55 over 55 nonsense.

I flagged that as crap immediately, by the time Romney picked him I knew the MSM would kill him as Romney's campaign ‘proposals’ differed from Ryan's. (in some cases he was denying his own words in past videos of himself)

Walker is performing way better than Ryan could. He is saying he 'evolved', or is it 'devolved' ?? LOL

RE:”How funny....Cruz is second to Walker in exposure and Cruz supporters always come to the Walker thread and try to take over. If you feel that Cruz isn’t getting enough attention then post some Cruz articles. You can dictate what Cruz articles are posted here. Walker is just has more results so naturally he has more articles written by him. Walker has been in Government a lot longer then Cruz who is in his second year of a first term”

Here's the problem.
Walker has a consistent record of beating the crap out of Dems in WI, on taxes, spending abortion, unions,....and re-elections that....

He obviously is not conservative enough for ‘us’.

We need someone so conservative that he/she has lost every single fight they started with Dems, and has never been re-elected to current office.

The most important thing is they know who to blame for their failures.
Think talk radio hosts as the model....

Another Big Cruz vs Walker supporter slugfest.

You can tell this one’s a doozy from all the deleted comments.

Man, its only March too!

I’m typing this out by hand (can’t cut and paste on this device.

http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/93210484.html

This is an example of something that could blow up.

In order to be president you need to be able to pick good people to delegate to, and Walker comes up short on this criteria.

Walker endorsing Chavez was not a conservative thing to do. Chavez’ alynsky tactics would be reaping domestic terror on our streets right now if he was still alive.

I stated the facts when I corrected your statement.

You were dishonest in your statement that Walker endorsed Chavez.

It goes without saying that the Communists have infiltrated and infested everything from the media to academia.

Malkin’s vetting has been less exhaustive than Walkers.

In the process, Walkers enemies spent millions, maybe even tens of millions.

However, I agree with the original poster, even though Walker has been vetted 3 times, and the voters approved of the results of the vetting, vett him again, so what?

“......Sorry, not buying in on that meme.

Maybe it was a mistake for Walker’s PAC to part ways with Mair if that’s how it went down.

But it’s way too much inside baseball, to use Dogherty’s term, to claim that this is a blow to Walker’s reputation or larger campaign.

Unless some people want that to be the outcome.

Walker has a long way to go before he establishes himself as worthy of the nomination. There will be many more real controversies and contrived fauxtroversies along they way, it’s the way things go.

In the meantime, Walker defeated everything the Democrats were able to throw at him in three elections in four years, has stared down the power of Democratic prosecutors in two John Doe investigations, eviscerated powerful public sector unions, and just signed right-to-work legislation.

I’m more interested in those accomplishments and Walker’s policies than in staffing issues.”

I know I said that she hasn’t been HERE physically, and I clarified by saying that I was using that as a figure of speech, meaning that she has not kept up with Scott Walker’s campaign, trajectory, results in office, promises, etc., etc. and the unjustified abuse that has been heaped upon him from the leftist crazies.

I guess that I can explain ‘til the moon is blue, but I can’t provide you with the ability to comprehend.

Michelle Malkin is just 90 degrees off base with her criticism. For a smart lady she is woefully ignorant about our Governor. Maybe it’s all the pot fumes that are wafting over her state of Colorado that are clouding her judgement.
