CLAYTON, Mo. — The St. Louis County police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of two police officers outside the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday morning, a police spokesman said Sunday.
The police and prosecutors have scheduled a news conference later Sunday to announce the arrest.
The two officers — one from the county police and the other from the nearby Webster Groves department — were standing shoulder to shoulder as part of a protective line facing demonstrators across the street from the police station. At least three gunshots came from a distance behind the demonstrators, as much as 125 yards away, the authorities said.

Just heard CNN interview some self-proclaimed “Bishop” that visited the shooter poor Jeffie say(paraphrase) that the reward was not the best way to go and it would have been better if the community would have been involved in the arrest....

So, we have a 20 year old guy (apparently a non-resident of Ferguson,with a criminal record, surprise, surprise) with a possibly illegally possessed handgun, allegedly riding in a car, sees someone he was having a dispute with, and just impulsively decides to settle the dispute with gunfire - with dozens of police officers standing right there

You point the gun, pull trigger and the bullet hits somewhere. There were so many people crowded together at the protest it was hard to miss hitting someone.
