The EPA does have a SWAT team - no joke. —

Let’s demand Electrostatic gunsmoke precipitators on all their S&W 40s.

From the EPA Doc
“We expect to limit the overall air pollution PM emissions from barbecuing and to alleviate some of the acute health hazards that a barbecue pit master can experience from inhalation”

If the Pit master wants to max out his weber, smoke a Kool drink a beer and fart all at the same time what business is it of the US Government.

Provimg Scalia is generally good and sound, but a few times has been a great disappointment.

EPA Soldier: I'm afraid we lost them, sir.

Cargill: Damn it! Well, then you find 'em, and you get 'em back in the dome! And to make sure nobody else gets out, I want roving death squads around the perimeter 24-7! I want 10,000 tough guys, and I want 10,000 soft guys to make the tough guys look tougher! And here's how I want them arranged: tough, soft, tough, tough, soft, tough, soft, soft, tough, tough, soft, soft, tough, soft, tough, soft!

[pause] Soldier: Sir, I'm afraid you've gone mad with power.

Cargill: Of course I have. Have you ever tried going mad without power? It's boring, no one listens to you.

This is craziness - pure D craziness! Who is funding these retarded grants?

The same people who want to outlaw consumption of meat. This is just a first incremental step.

Hysterical. I suppose they are going to put cameras on everyone’s house, and hire millions of people to watch and see whether you insert before you flip, and remove after the flip.

If I buy a new grill today, it will last the rest of my life, and I’ll continue to eat those charred areas of meat due to flareups.

He should never criticize the living, breathing Constitution without mentioning his own complicity.

EPA is funded entirely too well and they have way too much time on their hands. I’ve never heard of anything so stupid.

They will never regulate my fire brick BBQ pit that burns nothing but the three hardwoods I harvest from my endless supply in my back forty. I will never run out of oak, mesquite and pecan wood.

Excuse me, I have to go throw the rib eyes on my fire right now.

Step 1 of the EPA wood stove rule for special interests was implemented, and owners of expensive heaters here cheered and bragged. Wood stove, pellet stove and outdoor boiler manufacturers will be getting much bigger bucks for much less work in less than five years (Step 2 of the recent rule).

Manufacturers of water heaters are about to get filthy rich with little work because of another EPA rule pushed by special interests. Owners of expensive water heaters here cheered and bragged.

Outdoor grill manufacturers are about to make a whole lot of money from sports fans with government incomes.

Big debt/revenues in, droppings of debt/revenues out. What an economy!

Have fun. Enjoy the slide.

Congress can defund it, and criminalize it!

No, they can't.

They can repeal the Clean Air Act, which says, "It is the national policy of the US to have clean air, and the President shall issue regulations to accomplish this important goal" (a brief summary).

As long as this law is on the books, and as long as the Supreme Court allows Congress to delegate its legislative powers, your barbecue is not safe - even if the EPA disappears tomorrow.

The EPA is not the problem. Congress's rash of vague environmental legislation from 1955-1972 is the problem.
