Over 100k Sign White House Petition to Prosecute GOP Senators for Treason, Forcing Obama to Respond
Breitbart ^ | 3/11/15 | Dan Riehl

Fueled by the media narrative that a number of Republican Senators sending a letter to Iran was an act of treason, a whitehouse.gov petition to that effect has been gathering signatures and easily broke the 100,000 signature barrier that forces a response from the White House.

What remains to be seen is the White House will actually give its far-left base what they want in addressing its political opposition.

In fact, per this ABC report, the petition has now received over 165,000 signatures.

The creator of this petition, known only by the initials C.H., alleges that the 47 senators “committed a treasonous offense when they decided to violate the Logan Act, a 1799 law which forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.”

The letter, which was published on Monday, warned Iranian leaders that any nuclear deal they sign with President Obama won’t last past his second term.

Jerome Barron, a professor of Constitutional Law at George Washington University, told ABC News in an interview that he finds the senators’ letter “disrespectful,” but he does not believe the senators have committed treason.

The petition was started by a “C. H.” really?
Could it possibly be Clinton, Hillary who did it, as way to deflect some attention from her disastrous news conference?
Using her own initials as if to dare anybody to ask her about it. “How dare you!? This press conference is now OVER!”

18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Obama, holder and Jeh Johnson are conspiring to hinder and delay the execution of US immigration law. Let's keep the focus. This administration's plan is to air an unending stream of scandal. The intention is to keep the focus diffused so no progress is made on any single infraction, and they can continue to make progress on all fronts.

I thought disagreeing with the president was patriotic.

I was thinking about doing a petition to get Obama arrested. But there was one to get him impeached in 2010. And I had some issues logging in. So I didn’t do nothing.

the Senators did nothing wrong whatsoever, as even the most cursory reading of their letter makes crystal clear

but this raises the obvious question, where is the petition against O’s treason/sedition/?

If the petition leads indirectly to his removal from office, it might be worth signing.

I think we need a similar petition charging Obama with treason for contending he can make a treaty with a foreign power without congresses approval..

Iran has claim as much saying they would consider any treaty binding no approval from the US Congress needed

Okay. Why do *we* not have a petition to the WH requesting Hillary to turn over her server to a neutral third party? (With a forensic IT department at hand!) Seriously. Where’s our petition? How do you do this nonsense?

it is interesting only one person has ever been charged under the Logan act and it has been on the books over 200 years. The law is written so vague that I bet it cant pass constitutional revue otherwise I think it would have been used to prosecute people. the original reason it was written was shortly after this country was formed a private individual was in France and advised the French on how to deal with the us government. the advice ran counter to what the government at the time wanted and angered members of the federalist party who promptly drafted the law,
