Kathleen Matthews, Marriott International’s executive vice president and chief global communications and public affairs officer, and wife of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, is planning to run for the seat of Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).

Is Marriott owned by the Mormon church or just a Mormon family? I realize that individual Marriotts are not necessarily owned by Mormons - although one in Baltimore had a Book of Mormon in the night stand.

Ex-Marylander and wondering why anyone is still a resident! That State is so Progressive and Tax Hungry that I can not understand why anyone is still living there!!
I would guess that they are stuck because they can NOT afford to move (too many taxes owed) or they are too stupid to find a job in a low tax State or most likely, they work for the Government (Almighty payer of other peoples taxes)...All losers I’d guess. Please you folks, stay there and don’t move - somebody has to support this Government!

Excuse me. I should not take the bait and respond to you, but here goes.
I am a Marylander, born and bred here. This is a beautiful state, and I am neither stupid nor a loser. There are evil Marxists running parts of New York, but that does not lead me to conclude that all residents of that beautiful state are stupid or losers.
Maryland is my home. My children and grandchildren are here, as is my beloved Chesapeake Bay.
March 25, BTW, is Maryland Day.

Beautiful State, yes! Horrible Government with high taxes and high regulations, YES. That’s okay though as I’m sure that way too many these days think that it is not only okay but their duty! Keep on saving America and good luck in the long run...
