Loughner wouldn’t have passed the background check if the local sheriff had done his job. By all accounts he was a whack job and had multiple complaints against him. The sheriff talked them out of pressing charges as a favor to his Mom, who was IIRC the county clerk.
Gabby is obviously brain damaged.

Just bought a Glock 42 at an Ohio gun show, everytime I’ve bought a gun they did a background check. They don’t accept my Ohio CCW - they still insist on a separate check. Gabby and her hubby Mark own guns. Typical libs, they can have them – they just don’t want others to have them.

That doesn’t make any sense, which is typical anti-gun speech.
If they must pass the background check that he already passed, how would this have prevented her shooting?
Is she unaware that what she/her handlers advocate did not stop him? Or are they trying to make the raise the point, “see, we need tougher laws!”?

The only place I now buy anything is via a website that puts me in direct contact with the owner. No background checks, no fees, no sales tax - just a meeting in a small town in a small state where I hand over cash and walk away with the item. My state still allows that.

I think she’s gotten much worse after being shot.
I know in the book about the auto bailout by Steve “the rat” Rattner, he complains bitterly about how she opposed a lot of the things that the regime was doing. And he doesn’t talk about many congress people in the book.

(Just a thought -- but perhaps bat**** crazy people should reside in mental hospitals, not be free-range crazy in the community. Incredibly, there is a shuttered mental hospital one mile from Sandy Hook Elementary School.)
Huh? The example she sites proves background checks don’t keep loons from trying to kill the unarmed.
I have done armslist.com but still had a check ‘cause the guy was a dealer. But if it’s non-dealer sale, then it’s between you and them, period.
