Chicago IS Detroit...

Mayor Rahm Emanuel hasn’t exhaused all the places he can ‘borrow’ money from yet... but when that happens - and it will happen soon... Chicago will become Detroit.

White people needs to get out while the gettin’s good.

I don’t care that Kirk is gay. I disagree with his politics, but he’s (marginally) better than having no GOP senator from IL.

Rahm likely is much better for Chicago than the communist, he’s no longer in Barry’s inner circle, and it’s a close race.

"I don’t care that Kirk is gay"

Yep, there are reports that "Lightloafers" Kirk was a very good ballet dancer and admired Rahm for his dancing skills.

I suspect somewhere in the first couple years of the next Clinton presidency, we’ll see a robust bailout for Cal, Ill, and NY. Likely federally guaranteed state borrowings.

Let it go to the rats.

The younger generation needs to see the glory of the “progressives” or liberals or whatever the socialists and communists are calling themselves from day to day.

New York will be unlivable and die if the bad cops and communists win against the rule of law (which goes all ways) unless you are in the Obama Administration.

No barf. Garcia is markedly worse than Rahm. Every far lefty in the city is backing him and reasonable people realize they have sadly have no choice but to back Rahm.

Kirk is not gay, he left his wife for an older and less attractive woman.

Rahm isn’t gay either.

Obama OTOH..........

Republican U.S. Senator Mark Kirk has given his tacit endorsement of Mayor Rahm Emanuel for re-election, reports WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore.

He refused to call it an endorsement, but Senator Mark Kirk made clear he feels Chicago would risk dire financial straits like Detroit has seen if Mayor Emanuel is not re-elected.

Wow...Thanks Kirk for endorsing a Democrat....Would have been nice if you had worked to promote a Republican instead of spending all your time endorsing and promoting Amnesty :(

No Republican has run for Chicago Mayor since 1995, before non-partisan elections.

This is a runoff now, 2 choices. Garcia is a threat to Chicago’s future, it’s not rocket science.

There are plently of things to attack Kirk over (like amnesty), supporting Rahm over Chuy Garcia is not one of them.

Well, I’ve met a couple guys that seemed pretty faggy to me, but weren’t. I don’t think queers leave their beard wives for other women, especially less attractive ones.

Indeed it has, under partisan elections the GOP had guaranteed place on the general election ballot, so someone always took it. Since “non-partisan” elections, none has bothered to run. Bill Kelly cruelly teased us but ultimately passed on this most recent election.

If you are interested here are all the election results

http://www.ourcampaigns.com/ContainerHistory.html?ContainerID=2705&ShowPrimaries=Y

Ray “The Clown” Wardingley was the last Republican nominee back in 1995. He got under 3% of the vote. Daley’s main competition was Roland Burris, who ran as an indie. Voting for Daley was the prudent thing (he ended up winning easily).

The last competitive Republican candidate was State Rep. Bernie Epton in the 1983, after White democrats flocked to his campaign after Harold Washington’s plurality win in the democrat primary. Epton got 48%, the last Republican before him got just 16%. 4 years later Washington faced Alderman Ed Vrdolyak (who later became a Republican and was the GOP nominee in 1989) who ran under a third party and the official Republican got just 4%.

BUMP! The guy Rahm is running against makes Castro look like Ronald Reagan. For those of us in the area who still use the hospitals located in the city, this guy Chuy “Gueverra’ would probably cause the deaths of many suburbanites as the city would become the first city in the United States run by the Zeta Cartel out of Mexico.

I’m not speaking in hyperbole. This guy is connected with the beheaders in Mexico and will cause the deaths of hundreds of white citizens.

Kirk is a RINO, we said that in 2010, but he is right on this one. Although I’ll take it a step further, the brown supremacist will make Detroit look like paradise if he becomes the next mayor of Chicago.

Emanuel is probably slightly less liberal than Garcia. Since both are liberal, no republican politician should make an endorsement, unless that Republican is liberal. Therefore, I’m not surprised by what Sen. Kirk said.

>> Is that right? How did Oberweis capture the Republican nomination so early in the election cycle? <<

Yes, its correct. And 2014 (as the article repeatedly states is the year when these events occurred) is not "early" to me.
