Most West Virginians have something much more potent than a .223 poodle shooter. There may be some that like the gee-whiz look-at-what-I-got aspect of having an M16 lookalike. Pappy’s .270, .308 or .30-06 is more to be feared. The heavy caliber eye brow cutters are even more so.
True - your every day law abiding WV resident wasn’t in trouble - it was the hallow redneck idiot that always packed some cheap semi auto -— but never the so-called Danger Weapon that is listed on this ban...they know legal owners have these and can use them....this is what Big Govt fears...as do all tyrants!
