Sen. Cruz Presents Measure to Strengthen, Improve Legal Immigration
WASHINGTON, DC U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) today presented an amendment to the Gang of Eight immigration bill that would improve our nations legal immigration system by increasing high-skilled temporary worker visas, called H-1B visas, by 500 percent. The measure would effectively address the needs of our nations high-skilled workforce by helping meet the growing demand for workers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It will also make block grants available to states to promote STEM education efforts and increase domestic STEM professionals. The committee voted against the amendment 4 to 14 with every Democrat voting against it on a party-line vote.
Improving our educational system would help with our highly skilled workers. Start teaching science and math instead of some of the idiotic social things they teach.
Most of us Walker guys saw this coming a long-long while ago.
Once Walker put out, clearly, his position, he would be called a liar.
Cruz calls himself the most Reagan-like, and he may be just that.
His contingent on FR is quite unReagan-like though.
The problem is that with the dumbing down of our schools, the only employees that are capable of doing most work are foreign.
It is a catch 22.
We have NO need for H1B. Sad that Cruz supports amnesty in many forms. Letting H1B come and stay, pushing out Americans, lowering our wages is wrong. Sorry, beyond Sessions, I really do not trust any to stop illegal immigration and deport illegals. Walker no better or worse on this. Watching both.
