Why? Dude had a systolic blood pressure of over 350 mm Hg and diastolic of 195. Stroke country and then some. Mental disorder for literally years.
Yalta, tool of the commies in his own admin, like Hiss and Harry Dexter White, all working for Stalin (another sicko, psycho).

Truman, the haberdasher, had no clue, at all. The perfect patsy with no vision except that placed in his head by the same Stalin agents. A time of great turmoil in the US, from which we have not really recovered without herculean Conservative activism. Activism FReepers.. not keyboard memories.

I caught that about the gallant Reds. I think naked brutality is more in evidence than gallantry on the eastern front.

FDR was an F-ing commie. He used IRS for political audits, shut down owners of opposition newspapers (Phiadelphia Inquirer), put Japanese Americans into concentration camps, tried to pack the Supreme Court, raised marginal tax rates to 90%.

Of some interest. Roosevelt’s previous VP was the red leaning Wallace. Wallace was timely dumped before Truman was there when Roosevelt died. I think he had about a month to live when he made this address. We held a memorial for him when I was in Schweinfurt in April. Later that month Hitler killed himself when I was in Munich. The curtain was rapidly dropping on an era of history. New characters were entering from Stage Left and Stage Right.

You may be aware of the propaganda still being espoused today by die hard Stalinists (read: Putinists now), that FDR cleverly got the Red Army to do most of the dirty work in taking over Germany/ East Germany and the Berlin. That is, that despite the Fact that Stalin demanded retribution to be the lead in the attack on Berlin (they raced the US to Elbe btw, and then this “political decision” was taken by Eisenhower to let the Soviets make the assault), it was FDR who wasted Russian soldiers lives for the betterment of the decadent Western capitalists. This is, of course laughable.

Commies forget the Ribbentrop-Molotov treaty, and Hitler’s intent to ignore it, and Stalin (looney that he was) didn’t believe it when Germany invaded (and then conveniently switched to the Allies side, w/ again Churchills and FDR’s help).

Inside FDRs admin were MANY Stalinist agents, as there were inside British intel MI5 and 6 (riddled in fact since the Spanish Civil War).

The gallant Reds—FDR probably BELIEVED it, cause that’s what Stalin’s agents told him. FDR was one mean manipulative weasely bastard. His handicap made him so more and more and his personal mental health was destroyed by his dictatorial personality, smoking and eating habits (most of which were not even thought of back then).
He was a tyrant. And he LOVED MacArthur whereas the haberdasher, Truman (the party man from MO) could not stand to be “left out”, little man that he was.
