AP PHOTOS: Antarctica's spectacular glaciers melting faster

CAPE LEGOUPIL, Antarctica (AP) - From the ground of this extreme northern part of Antarctica, a spectacular white and blinding ice seemingly extends forever. What can't be seen is the battle raging below to reshape Earth.

Water is eating away at the Antarctic ice, melting it where it hits the oceans. As the ice sheets slowly thaw, water pours into the sea, 130 billion tons of ice (118 billion metric tons) per year for the past decade, according to NASA satellite calculations. That's enough ice melt to fill more than 1.3 million Olympic swimming pools. And the melting is accelerating.

In the worst case scenario, Antarctica's melt could push sea levels up 10 feet (3.3 meters) worldwide in a century or two, recurving heavily populated coastlines.

At its current rate, the rise from Antarctica would only lift the world's oceans a barely noticeable one-third of a millimeter a year.

But if all the West Antarctic ice sheet that's connected to water melts unstoppably, as several experts predict, there won't be time to prepare.

So I guess that’s why the Antarctic is at all time record ice areas, because it’s melting...

Who knew...

Is it possible to accurately calculate how fast an ice cube would melt in a glass of water if you knew the temp of the water?

May I suggest a website (call it ice flows melting.com). Put all the global warming theories stories there and highlight the ice cube in the glass of water with a countdown to earth flooding clock.

Build up the ice cube in the water as the final proof that ice melting with overflow the glass thereby causing massive flooding.

Then when nothing happens, give the reason.

That is actually mentioned deeper in the article - with no mention of the fact that cycles of freezing and thawing are normal. The article contains virtually no real information and seems to be written to try to get the reader to draw an impression for which they present no evidence.

Unmitigated horse hockey!

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.

From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.

Even though it extends north toward Chile, and is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, there is absolutely NO chance that undersea volcanic activity could be heating the water! /s;)

Let see March 1 and is South of the equator.. so that would be the same as end of August North of the Equator

Do people really think the Earth will remain the same forever?Just because we built a city on a coast line a few hundred years ago doesn’t mean it’s permanent. I’m pretty sure we will adapt.

This is a trick the Globalist love to play on the American people.

The Antarctic ALWAYS MELTS in the Summer Time. When it’s Winter time in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth, it’s Summer Time in the Southern Hemisphere where Antarctica is located. It always melts this is NOTHING unusual.

Right now we are actually having one of the coldest winters on record in 100 plus years or so we have been recording the weather. This may also confirm what many scientist around the world are saying that we are experiencing global cooling period. Sort of a mini ice age. This is NOT because of human activity, but because the SUN is going through a cool down period. This is all very normal and part of the life cycle. Although the Globalist propagandist at the AP will never tell you this. They are trying to claim there really is global warming, and to tick people into thinking this in order to bring in carbon taxes.

For the record the Antarctic ALWAYS melts in the Summer Time. They are just hoping are dumb enough and do not realize this.

Furthermore, the ice on both polls have never been larger on record. So this may explain while there is more water. Don’t let AP trick you.

Here is my proof

and

About the ice never being thicker.

Finally, here is one of the best web sites I know for researching to truth about Global warming. Outstanding information against the Global Warming crowd that want to silence the debate.

That’s just something climate change deniers made up. We all know that seasons are same for both hemispheres and that deniers will say anything to try to cover up their desire to destroy the planet. /s

And the “calculations” are performed by the NASA satellite...

No shortage of cowbell in this hyperbolic piece of drama.

I drive by a couple of pastures split by a two lane road. On each side are a mix of climate destroying cows in herds of about 50-100 on each side. I shake my fist and gesticulate wildly as I pass - those farting climate destroyers! Arrrrrgggghhhhhh!

BTW, here’s a question for youse farmboys out there. Every once in a while you’ll see a donkey out there in the herd with them. Anybody can give me the answer as to why they are there? (I know, but it’s something others might have wondered about).

Bingo! That and wild dogs and other small canids.

A donkey will run one off or stomp them whenever they see one.
