Jeb Bush to CPAC: Yes, I support a path to legalization for illegal immigrants
Hot Air ^ | February 27, 2015 | Allahpundit

Posted on 02/27/2015 8:03:35 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Seeing some oohing and aahing online this afternoon among political media that Jeb didn’t pander to CPAC’s very conservative crowd on Common Core or immigration (“he stuck to his guns!”), but what would he have gained by doing that? Remember, for all the hype in 2012 that Romney was shifting to the center to run as a technocrat instead of as the culture warrior he ran as in 2008, he was still a fairly doctrinaire righty on most issues, the notable exception of RomneyCare aside. That’s what the “severely conservative” nonsense was all about in his CPAC speech three years ago. That’s also why he was a hard-ass about “self-deportation” as a solution to illegal immigration, a position that he alone seemed to hold among the amnesty-fan donor class from which he hails. (I’m convinced that self-deportation is to Romney 2012 what traditional marriage was to Obama 2008, although we’ll never know for sure.) Romney worried that, with the tea party in ascendance during Obama’s first term, he could win the GOP nomination but be crippled by recalcitrant conservatives who refused to vote for him in the general election. That’s why he insisted on pandering to them, I think — partly because he thought he could grab some righty votes here and there in the primaries as the most obviously electable candidate in the field and partly just to stay on conservatives’ good side so that they’d turn out for him.

Jeb’s coming from a different place. For one thing, there are formidable candidates in the field in Scott Walker and Marco Rubio who are arguably as electable as Bush is and with whom he’ll have to compete for dollars among the country-club set. He doesn’t (yet) have a stranglehold on the business class like Romney did. Bush’s “I won’t pander” shtick has also generated an early animosity among righties that wasn’t quite there for the eager-to-please Romney, who at least seemed like he wanted conservatives to like him. Bush’s aloofness is more Huntsman-esque. And the centrists of the donor class who are bankrolling him love it, of course. They’re sick to death of tea partiers whining about the establishment and they finally have a candidate who’s unapologetic about sharing their views. Furthermore, it was establishmentarians even more than tea partiers who thrived in the 2014 midterms. They have the momentum within the GOP right now, not righties, so why should they tolerate their champion pandering to right-wingers like they did with Mitt?

So here’s Jeb, knowing all of that and having already all but written off conservative votes, wondering what to do with his Q&A at CPAC today. Should he reverse course and start pandering to righties? If he did, we’d laugh at him while his centrist business-minded base would recoil in horror. Or should he stick to his guns, earning a little grudging respect from conservatives that he came onto their turf and refused to pander while impressing establishmentarians that he means what he says about running as a loud-and-proud centrist? It’s a no-brainer. In fact, for all the jokes today about this being Jeb’s moment to show he too is “severely conservative,” Bush was actually trying to do the opposite of what Romney was doing with that speech. Mitt gave that speech because he wanted to prove to CPAC’s audience of grassroots conservatives that he was one of them. Jeb gave today’s Q&A to prove to people who <>aren’t at CPAC that he’s one of them and not afraid to broadcast that fact at ground zero of the conservative movement. How that ends for him in November 2016 if he’s the nominee, I don’t know. Presumably he thinks it doesn’t matter how much righties dislike him since they’ll inevitably dislike Hillary more. He’s not wrong.

Here he is endorsing a path to legalization for illegals — a position held by every Republican candidate in the field, I hasten to remind you — followed by Laura Ingraham unloading on him in a speech at CPAC earlier this morning. Jeb also said today that he supports traditional marriage. Mark that down for easy reference for the inevitable “he’s evolved” news circa spring 2018. Exit quotation from Ingraham: “The idea that we should conduct any kind of coronation … because 50 rich families decide who will best decide their interests? No way, Jose.”

“Rubio, Huckabee, Bush, Christie all easily fit that mold. “

If any of these “men” is the GOP candidate, they are not getting my vote.

If President Hillary proposed amnesty, the Pubs in Congress just might be able to be shamed enough to oppose it. If President Jeb proposes is they will race the RATS to try to claim “credit” by rushing it through.

Sometimes divided government isn’t a bad thing.

If you have not kept up with what EVERY republican candidate has said, it is unanimous that EVERYBODY, including Cruz, Jindal, Walker, Perry, Pence etc, are AGAINST deportation of all illegals.

I was there. Starting about 30 min before El Jefe took stage, while Phil Robertson was speaking, about a thousand 20 something’s with JEB badges filed into the main ballroom. The room went from 80% full to SRO.

There were guides/stewards positioning interns strategically around the room, both to take up all the empty seats and to be able to quickly take the seat of anybody who left.

I wouldn’t have believed the organizational prowess of what I witnessed if I hadn’t seen it for myself.

The applause you hear on tape was every bit as bought and paid for as if it were canned.

I walked out. Just like I will in 2016 if he wins the primary.

Make no mistake, there was serious money involved in making sure he wasn’t embarrased yesterday. I’m sure the organizers of CPAC didn’t mind. The cost of a day’s admission is $125, but candidates can bring in supporters for half of that. A thousand supporters at $67.50 a pop for admission is $67,500 extra dollars for CPAC. That doesn’t even cover the cost of paying for the staff and logistics to make that happen.

Also, each of those interns, with their paid admissions, gets the right to vote in the straw poll. Supposed to be about 10,000 attendees here. That means that el Jefe didn’t just buy his audience for yesterday: he also bought 8-10% of the straw poll results.

One more clarification: your credentials come with a five digit number. You can vote onsite or online one time with your number. No way those interns hung out at the 15 or so polling stations spread out by the main ballroom and the hub.

They didn’t have to do so. All they needed to do was surrender their credentials to Bush’ staff. His staff can use them to vote off site and online.

Voting ends at 3PM Eastern today. An enterprising individual or campaign could access the online poll and randomly enter five digit numbers...and vote the ones still valid.

Just an early morning observation.

What he gained from actually admitting it in front of a room full of conservatives is the absolute assurance I will never vote for him under any circumstances. That’s what he gained.

Give them a path to citizenship for good behavior(whats good?)

"Good Behavior" does not begin with committing a criminal act from the very git-go.

I'm not necessarily believing that they will all be deported, but that doesn't mean they should be legalized in ANY fashion. I want the environment here stressful and anxious enough to make them go the hell home, frankly.

We do not need them, period. Only the Democrat Party needs them.

Jeb knew he was in trouble---pre-CPAC buzz predicted audience walkouts when Jeb appeared. In fact, Fox News clip showed tea partiers walking out on Jeb. Plus Jeb was soundly booed when Hannity ticked off candidates' names at the end of the conference.

=====================================

The outstanding cable TV anthology show "American Greed" did a segment on Venezuelan fraudster (now jailed) Claudio Osorio.

Osorio, a Venezuelan schemer, organized high profile fundraisers, and was in thick w/ Democrats Obama, Hillary and Bill-----and with Jeb Bush.

Osorio donated some $80,000 to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, according to Federal Electoral Commission records. Osorio also donated mega-bucks to the Clinton Global Initiative.

Oops--how'd that get posted? (Snort)

Osorio's shell company, Innovida, submitted falsified documents and received $3.5 million in loans from the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) supposedly to build homes in Haiti after the earthquake.

In September 2011, OPIC began questioning Innovida's "negative operating cash flow."

A court appointed receiver in charge of investigating Innovida's finances indicated that "$37.5 million in funds had been moved offshore, but he had so far been unable to find out what happened to the money."

Osorio has used his constitutional privilege of invoking the fifth amendment right against self-incrimination when asked if company funds had been used to pay personal expenses.

Osorio was indicted on two counts of wire fraud and one count of major fraud, amongst other charges.

Federal prosecutors said Osorio defrauded investors from 2007-10, exaggerating the company's finances and pocketing millions of dollars to fund a lavish lifestyle.

The SEC claimed that Osorio had illegally used investor money to pay for a Miami Beach mansion, a Maserati car and a Colorado mountain retreat home.

Jeb Bush agreed to return $270,000 that he was paid as a consultant to convicted fraudster Claudio Osorio and Osorio’s companies.

(Jeb/scammer Osorio cont)

Jeb agreed to return the $270,000 he was paid as a consultant to convicted fraudster Claudio Osorio and Osorio’s companies. Federal prosecutors said Osorio defrauded investors from 2007-10, pocketing millions of dollars to fund his lavish lifestyle.

AM/GREED also aired a pic of Jeb in Haiti---supposedly looking at Osorio's pre-fab housing project for Haitian refugees (which turned out to be a scam).

POINTS TO PONDER:

<><> The State Dept recently issued a "special management alert"-----that it had "no idea" what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors.....it warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at State has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years....under Hillary's watch.

<><> Bill Clinton got his hands on hundreds of million of dollars while Hillary ontrolled the State Dept checkbook..... monies that were meant for Haiti (the place where the Clintons spent their honeymoon).

<><> CLINTON BUSH HAITI FUND--donor to Clinton Global Initiative

WEB SITE http://www.clintonbushhaitifund.org/

The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded after Haiti’s January 12, 2010 earthquake, when President Barack Obama asked former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to assist the Haitian people in building their own country back better. The Fund is using these donations to make grants, loans, and equity investments in organizations promoting job growth and smart, sustainable economic development.

Hillary---and billionaire Arab potentates---mega-donors to The Clinton Foundation.

News organs report the tax-exempt Clinton foundation(s) took billions in donation from foreign governments.....foreign governments that a putative president Hillary would make policy for and for which she would wield the presidential pen.

The problem for the Buckraking Clintons isnt that they are getting foreign bucks---it's what exactly they are doing with the foreign monies once its in their Foundation's tax-exempt coffers.

A CLUE---Court documents in Clinton pal Jeffrey Epstein's underage sex investigation show that Epstein had 21 private e-mail addresses and phone numbers listed for Clinton and Clinton factotum, Doug Band.

Epstein kept Bill Clinton on speed dial as reports surfaced about Clinton attending sex parties at Epstein's "Orgy Island." Lawyers perusing documents stumbled upon e-mail addresses and 21 phone numbers for the fun-loving ex-president and his personal aide, Doug Band, stashed away in Jeffrey Epstein’s electronic directory, according to court documents.

QUESTION: Why does Clinton need 21 phone numbers? Does every phone number have an address and/or PO box number? Because L/E knows multiple phone no's is an indication of possible money-laundering and tax evasion.

CASE IN POINT One two-year federal investigation revealed an elaborate web to carry out multiple frauds. The frauds were carried out using non-existent people using fake identities, fraudulent SS nos, and phony tax ID numbers.

A sophisticated system of telephone voice-mail accounts and post office boxes were created to avoid detection. The charges involved racketeering, money laundering, wire fraud, making false statements, and bank fraud.

HSBC Leak Exposes Shady Clinton Associates
Washington Free Beacon ^ | February 9, 2015 | Andrew Stiles / FR Posted by lbryce

A massive leak of documents from HSBC’s Swiss banking arm has revealed an array of sketchy dealings with wealthy individuals, including dictators and arms traffickers, through which the bank helped unsavory characters dodge taxes and avoid government scrutiny.

Among the unsavory characters exposed in the leak are a number of prominent donors to the Clinton Foundation. For example, the leaked documents detailed a five million Swiss franc cash transaction to British business mogul Richard Caring:

HSBC staff explained handing Caring the huge sum of cash by quoting a statement by him that he planned to deposit the cash with another Swiss bank, and did not want either bank to be aware of the other. They wrote: “RC goes to great lengths to maintain discretion.” …

The files show Caring, a major donor to British politics, transferring $1 million to the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit set up by the former U.S. President Bill Clinton with the stated mission to “strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.” (Excerpt) Read more at freebeacon.com ...

===============================================

One of the most common M/L T/E scams is one foundation writing a check to another foundation----the check receiver takes a cut then deposits the rest offshore for the donor's use later---all tax-free.

Jeb.....another Chamber of Amnesty corporate hack....

ALL ABOARD THE CHEAP LABOR----IN-STATE TUITION----EXPRESS

They're Coming to America but not on the LI Limited. No running water and flush toilets on those trains. How did the "new students" and "employees" handle body wastes atop the train?

COMING TO AMERICA-- murderers, rapists, pedophiles, thieves and drug dealers, paid agents of foreign govt's advocating the overthrow of the US govt. Coming to infest your communities, schools (and workplaces) w/ drugs, crimes and disease.

================================================

Those who advocate open borders should take heed. Huge quantities of heroin and cocaine have flooded across our borders, smuggled by pernicious drug trafficking organizations who've set up distribution networks allover the United States. Tens of billions of dollars from the drug trade, flow into the coffers of transnational drug trafficking organizations and international terrorist organizations.

There have been thousands of accusations of human rights abuse, extortion, and even reports of murder on the freight trains transporting undocumented migrants to the US border.

The real eye-opener is that these freight train companies are involved in the Narco trade, and one report makes it clear that the companies are aware of the abusive practices their train operators are engaging in. The border swarm is all about human trafficking, narco-trafficking, and government collusion.

The trains involved are publicly-traded companies, traded on NASDAQ, with "very influential stockholders", such as the billionaire Clintons and billionaire Mexico resident, Carlos Slim. Other stockholders include,T Rowe Price, Bank of America, and General Electric.

They had to do that to counter the effect of the walkout, which was outstanding and dramatic. People left at various times during the speech. It was well organized to have people object bodily to various statements. Tea Party flag visible out in the hallway. Lots of cheering at the walkouts from the conservatives still in the room.

“Secure our borders”

Bushes don’t DO borders

Find out who they are(Obama knows that now)

Bushes don’t DO “find”

“Make them pay taxes”

96% will never earn enough, but they WILL get money through EITC. Total loss!

Deny them any government benefits (HAHA this sounds familiar)

20-30,000/yr per family
“Give them a path to citizenship for good behavior(whats good?)”

Not getting caught for criminal behavior.

If I did apply I would be DEPORTED...

HELLO ???

Oh these are not immigrants..Theyre ILLEGAL ALIENS

Meaning they are not responsible for any promises made by IMMIGRANTS

Not the same standards and requirements...
