27 February 2015 Holder Vows To Lower Threshold For US Civil Rights Charges
Attorney General Eric Holder says he will try to change the standard needed to bring federal civil rights cases in his last few weeks in the job.
In an interview with Politico, Mr Holder said "if we adjust those standards, we can make the federal government a better backstop".
His comments come after his department said it would not bring such charges in the Trayvon Martin case.
Mr Holder is set to leave after his successor, Loretta Lynch, is confirmed.
Ms Lynch, a US prosecutor in New York, was approved by a Senate committee panel on Thursday and must be confirmed by the wider Senate in the coming weeks.
Mr Holder, who has spoken out strongly about minorities communities relations with law enforcement, said he would use his last days as the US' top lawyer to talk about how the justice department decides to bring civil rights cases.

It’s obvious boner and mitchy told him they’ll never bring up the contempt charges or anything else.
His own statements vividly illustrate that Eric Holder is and has always been unfit to hold any position of public trust and responsibility.
Why, after all, does “Lady Justice” wear a blindfold and carry a scale?
In Eric Holder’s view it’s important for Lady Justice to peek under the blindfold in order to dispense favors for favored individuals, classes, genders, races, and political leanings, while bringing the full force and coercion of a corrupt government to bear on anyone who is disfavored.
In his jaundiced worldview, it’s doubly important that Eric Holder have the ability to put his thumb (or better yet, a ton of bricks) on whichever side of the scale he personally desires.
What a despicable man.
But it’s not just Holder. Rather, it’s a common moral failing of leftists - they are really big on “social justice” (a.k.a. a rigged system) which is an illegitimate perversion of true justice.
Everything this clown says and does sounds like something out of Kafka.
Why not?
After all, (greatly) lowered standards allowed Holderdork and Dorkbama to become lawyers.
Thankfully, we have real talents like Justice Thomas to balance those two idiots with true accomplishment.
They need to simply skip that complicated “due process” thingy.
Charge the subject with a hate crime and move right to the lynch party phase.
