Dozens of CPAC Attendees Walk Out on Jeb Bush
National Review Online ^ | February 27, 2015 | Ryan Lovelace

Scores of CPAC attendees began to file out as soon as Jeb Bush started speaking with talk show host Sean Hannity this afternoon, which did eventually garner plenty of applause. After exiting the main auditorium at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the protesting attendees began chanting “USA, USA” and “Stand with Rand.” Despite the sign of defiance, the main ballroom was as packed for Bush’s talk as it had been for any other 2016 contender, including Scott Walker and Rand Paul. Bush’s comments attracted cheers from some parts of the ballroom, which was more packed than it had been at any other point in the conference, but was also punctuated by occasional heckles, including shouts of “Open borders!”

Republicans, the people have spoken. Either listen just this once or ignore them at your peril - and at the nations’ peril.

the blows keep coming...one after another, before anyone has a chance to breathe

Agreed. Not a day goes by, that we don't read of yet another assault against our freedoms, our culture, our customs, our national identity, our economy, our history, our laws, the Constitution......it boggles the mind.

In my view, the constant barrage is part of the strategy to tear the country down. We're being beat into submission by the constant stream of attacks against us. Look at many of the comments on this site, and you can see that it's working on some.

He wants to shell shock us into defeat.

Jeb Bush is another boring RINO-I doubt I’d vote for him even with a gun pointed at my head-and Columba Bush is Imelda Marcos with an AMEX card, but she is not an illegal/mojado.

I’m of Latino/Hispanic ancestry, and my whole family loathes illegals, like most old Tejano families do.

My family has lived in what is now SW Texas since the late 18th century, and we still learn Spanish as a 2nd language-we even (gasp!) speak it at home to stay fluent-a lot of those descended from French Canadians and Acadians speak French as a second language in Louisiana, northern Washington state, etc-MrT5 was one of those people.

I can come up with at least 50 reasons Jeb Bush should NOT make the short list for GOP nominee without having a problem with his wife being a legal immigrant or what 2nd language they choose to speak-my state’s best-ever senator, Ted Cruz has an immigrant parent...

Jeb Bush is anti-America - he has no compassion for law-abiding citizens. I do not want him in the White House, and I do not want his wife Colomba in the White House.

I do no like the idea of a Bush dynasty and would like to know more about Jeb's association with Claudio Osorio. No way is he a conservative - not with MSNBC and Washington Post prasing him. No patriotic American would support amnesty.

I wish he would and stop pretending to be a republican or a conservative.

I believe you are right on all counts. I've never witnessed anything like it, but then I never thought I would see a purely evil tyrant sitting in the White House. He's not stupid...he knows exactly what he's doing.

"He wants to shell shock us into defeat."

I was listening to Rush yesterday. He was talking about the confiscation of bullets, and expressed shock that people weren't burning up his phone lines to discuss it. He wondered aloud if anyone cared.

Obama's strategy is working, at least in part.

OK. Sorry for the flame. I am just so used to seeing folks on here completely dismiss Paul when he is 85% right on the issues. I disagree with him on some things but I believe the following things are true...

He loves his country.
He is a Christian.
He wants what is best for America and wants to see her prosper.
He believes in free markets and knows that when government intrudes into markets, prosperity is killed.
He understands that Islam is evil.

I am even more convinced that Cruz understands these things. There are several other truths that I believe he understands as well. That is why I support Cruz first and Paul next. I could possibly be persuaded to support Walker or maybe even Perry. I don't think I could pull the lever for any of the others regardless of their opponent.

Please note that you are incorrectly attributing that quote to me. I, did not write that. I copied it directly from the article that was the topic of the thread.
