It’s starting.
As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is proposing to put the ban on 5.56mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.

Exactly. And if a tiny round is banned, that justifies banning anything larger.
M855 does have that problem and it is probably due to the steel plug.
Also M855 likes 1:9 twist better than the M16A3/M4 1:7 twist. The 1:7 was chosen because the M856 tracer likes it.
Your wise man must not have around when the AR15 platform in 50Beowulf was developed. This shoots a 350 grain bullet at 1900fps. A man hit by this round becomes a lesser man.

You really think that the Obama minions will stop at just banning this particular ammo? Seriously? You haven’t been paying attention, if so.
It’s also ironic that the Obama government is suddenly so concerned about people killing cops....when they are the ones that have been inciting violence against cops via racial tensions by supporting the rioters’ “cause”, like in the Michael Brown case.
And as usual, the leftist government creates the problems and then swoops in to fix the problems that they have created, thus taking away more and more of our freedoms in the process.

I and the wise man said nothing about the make and model. I think you would agree .50 cal. is larger than the .223 and the lesser man threshold of 30.06.
Surprisingly, there’s not a word about this on any of the leftist propaganda sites, including Facebook. You’d think the gun grabbers would be praising the heavens about this.

Haven’t checked myself but my Facebook feed locals are reporting Sportsman’s Warehouse is sold out of ALL .223 and 5.56 ammo.
