GOP’s Jeb Bush working to reassert conservative credentials

As Florida’s governor, Jeb Bush was among the nation’s most conservative state chief executives. He’s quietly embarking on work to convince the right flank of the Republican Party that he would be that same kind of conservative in the White House.

Eight years removed from office, Bush is viewed by some conservatives as a squishy moderate: a member of the GOP’s most established family with toxic positions on immigration and education standards.

For that reason, perhaps none of the likely 2016 candidates has more to gain than Bush at this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference, the nation’s largest annual conference of conservative activists. …

As part of that support I've also been upfront that I favor higher skilled immigrants over lower skilled ones no matter where they come from and I've laid out my reasons why.

That type of immigration needs to stop also. There is no shortage of high tech people with million unemployed. This importation is just a way to lower wages. 90 million unemployed and we are still importing people? Come on.

Ok, they’re doing it again.

It’s not his toxic position on “immigration” , it’s his toxic position on ILLEGAL immigration. The AP never tires of this game of “change the meaning”.

CPAC is now a joke. Are they going to invite Hillary next?

You apparently aren’t watching the speeches. I saw Scott Walker and Bobby Jindal give fantastic speeches.

I also saw Sarah Palin give a nonspeech clearly indicating by the content she is not a candidate

Ok inviting Jeb to CPAC is like inviting Hitler to speak at a Synagogue. Get it?

This will never work.

The audio of the Jebster saying that illegals were more family oriented and more entrepreneurial then Americans, just is not true and denigrates Americans!

I will NEVER vote for Jeb Bush!

A month ago he said he was going to be himself and didn’t need the Conservative base and wouldn’t pander to us. Why the change of heart. I guess even RINOs can do math once in a while.

As my father told me, if you have to tell people what you are, you probably aren’t.

If only Jeb were nominated by the press and the establishment instead of having to go through pesky voters.

We will see an all-out effort from AP and the rest of the leftist media to portray Bush as our most electable candidate, one with a conservative pedigree. This is because they know he would lose horribly if he were actually the nominee.

they cannot be that stupid....can they?

The narcissistic, self-loving globalist elite do seem to think that whatever is best for enhancing their power and wealth is what's best for everyone else. Add to that, Jeb doesn't do the "aw shucks" routine anywhere near as well as the other Bushes.

We need leadership. There's no excuse for what's happening to world civilization and the inability of the DC crowd to stop Obama's agenda except that those in power have lost the ability to make the kinds of decisions that will put priorities in order. They might have power and wealth, but they're weak and unprincipled.

Cruz/Walker might be an answer.

Even if you could get past all that, there’s Terri Schiavo. If Jeb couldn’t or wouldn’t stop one women from being starved to death, how’s he gonna’ save the world?

Jeb Bush is on an express train to the junkyard of political has-beens......common core, amnesty, his name, et.al.

GOP’s Jeb Bush working to reassert conservative credentials

Curious, since a couple of months ago, Jeb was meeting with McCain to try to figure out how to get the nomination WITHOUT support from the Tea Party/conservatives.

Amnesty/open borders, which Jeb is pushing harder even now, and Common Core are far from being 'conservative'.

Jeb Bush has never been a Conservative and never will be one. Interesting that last night's American Creed mentioned a link between Jeb and Florida conman Claudio Osorio.

Washinton Examiner reported that "Jeb Bush sat on the board of directors and served as a marketing consultant to a Florida company while it was under a criminal investigation that sent its two top executives to jail."

I posted a link to the article “Jeb Bush's Ethical Blind Spot.” Yet it failed to appear even though the rest of the post appeared.

Yep!

They are so much better than us Americans.

We should move all of them here, and of course we should pay for it. All of Mexico, Central America, South America, heck anyone in the world really.

And then make sure they have the room they need by moving all of us into their shanty towns, of course we pay for that move too.

Then the Jebster can be happy that he is no longer surrounded by us dregs of humanity any longer.
