Senior State Department Counterterrorism Director Arrested For Allegedly Soliciting Minor

Senior State Department official Daniel Rosen was arrested for allegedly soliciting a juvenile Tuesday afternoon, a Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman told TheBlaze.

Rosen, the State Department’s director of counterterrorism, was arrested at his home for the “use of a communication device to solicit a juvenile,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said.

Fox News reported that the juvenile was actually a female detective posing as a minor in an operation with the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Child Exploitation Unit. The unit conducted the investigation and made the arrest, Caldwell said.

The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office notified the State Department of Rosen’s arrest, Caldwell said.

A State Department spokesman told TheBlaze late Tuesday that he could not comment on the ongoing situation.

Rosen was being held in D.C. jail and will be transferred to Fairfax County custody at a later time, according to sheriff’s officials.

A LinkedIn page appearing to belong to Rosen says he is “responsible for all Counter Terrorism Bureau strategic planning, policy planning, program and budget planning and oversight, and legislative relations and interaction.”

The page says he “oversees $300 million per year in CT programs related to Countering Violent Extremism, Antiterrorism Assistance, Counterterrorism Financing, Counterterrorism Engagement and Regional Initiatives. Manages the Office of Plans and Policy including oversight of 20+ personnel.”

He also “represents the Office of the Coordinator and the US Department of State in interagency and international meetings, conferences, congressional briefings, and other fora.”

Oh, c'mon everybody chill out, it wouldn't have been RAPE rape /s. Seriously, does this come as surprise considering the Sec of State, the Haughty John Kerry, who served in VietNam designated a convicted child molester as his daughter's godfather? Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary fame back in 1970 got the 13-yr-old sister of some groupie high on pot then, seduced her to, shall we say, puff on his "magic dragon". He pled to "taking indecencies with a minor" and was eventually pardoned by none other than Jimmah Carter. Maybe it's a, no pun intended minor point, but little things mean a lot. This can also go a long way in explaining why this sorry excuse of an administration hasn't so much as voiced outrage over the rampant sex abuse among ISIS and islimeic radicals.
