Mitch McConnell goes into fetal position. Harry Reid is the new leader of the Senate.

Sad and disappointing but not a surprise. Sen. Mitch McConnell has showed himself to be the gutless wimp that we’ve all known he is. He has given the Democrats exactly what they have been demanding. In other words, Sen. Mitch McConnell, as majority leader, has shown the same feckless, flaccidity that he showed while minority leader. What he’s done is pass the buck back to the House:

This is a shame. The issue is not only important but it is an easy win. It is the Democrats and the White House that need DHS funded. The GOP doesn’t. Something like 83% of that agency will remain on the job as they are “essential” employees. Not that it matters. Enforcing immigration and naturalization policy isn’t what the are about. They are more busy writing reports on the scourge of “sovereign citizen extremists” than actually doing something useful.

Now the action moves back to the House. Speaker Boehner should stick to his guns and takes as his motto General Grant’s statement during the Overland Campaign: “I propose to fight it out on this line, if it takes all summer.”

And former Texas governor and well-known ILLEGAL alien activist RINO Rick Perry endorsed McConnell for reelection.

Remember that when someone urges you to vote for Perry.

The problem is:

Recall they got their majority by claiming they would repeal Obamacare. Have they?

Recall they spent the summer secretly negotiating amnesty and budgets with the Dems.

Oh good grief....another attack on Republicans by Republicans....how about we wait two or three days and see how this works out,,,,,SHEESH

Boy do you have this wrong.

Agreeing to the Senate Rat demands of a clean bill is a sell out of campaign promises to STOP the illegal amnesty program. If Boehner stays strong and won't agree then it is the Pubs who shut down DHS. If McConnell really wanted to win this fight he would have ended the filibuster, passed the bill, and sent it to obama. Instead he gave in to the Rats.

Why support Pubs when they don't support you.

They've placed a new statue at the capitol to memorialize the Reid/McConnell relationship

...but we don't have a super majority...if we have a GOP president, 435 GOP elected congressman and 100 GOP Senators, then we can undo Obamacare, executive amnesty, investigate the IRS...etc

...just wait until the next election

No, really? It would be pitiful to discover Harry Reid is more of a man than you are.

Anything's possible, but is there any precedent that would cause one to expect such a thing?

Forgive me here but...

Can a member of the House and Senate Challenge the Leadership at anytime and request a vote for new Leadership?

It is time, in the House again and in the Senate, if it can be done.

FWIW, I really like Ted Cruz, but his time is now as Senate Majority Leader, not POTUS, we need to replace this Gelding McConnell.

What do our kids and grand-kids inherit, I fear the Fundamental Transformation is un-reversable....

‘He cannot be allowed to pull this crap over and over and expect to politically survive intact.’

Why not? he keeps being elected ‘leader’ by ALL the other ‘republicans’, EVERY repub senator voted him in as leader.....EVEN CRUZ and the other ‘good’ repubs.

They are ALL the same, some are just ALLOWED to be ‘tough’ when it doesn’t matter.
