Holy crap I just tried checking my bill and boy does Verizon make you jump through hoops and go through a dozen pop-up ads those fu_kers.

My base is $145 for internet, landline and TV. But I have 3 set top boxes, DVR and get their biggest movie package which is another $74 plus $25 in taxes and surcharges.

Not a nice company to do business with, but it’s a ***one dish menu*** selection/monopoly here. I have neighbors with Dish and another satellite service, but they say it’s all crap, like dial-up. I have 2 set-top boxes, no DVR, no pay/movie channel packages, but super-fast 125/25MBPS level service.

Comcast sold me internet. They kept calling me to get tv too. I kept telling them that I don’t have a TV. They couldn’t believe it. I told them if they kept harassing me, I would drop them.

They kept harassing me.
I dropped them.
Now, they are trying to collect $1500 because I broke a contract. When I signed up for it, I made it clear I only wanted month to mpnth or I didn’t want it. They assured that it could be dropped any time.

I understand why people go nuts.

I live in the country, I wish there was cable out here. You people complaining about cable have no clue what its like to not have that option and have to pay direct TV’s exorbitant rates.

Cable internet speed is split among all local users. That is, during peak hours, the speed goes way down.

I just have the 50/25mps service and get 76/54mps in actual. I could get the faster mps but what I have plays netflix etc just fine on Apple TV.

I used to have Dish in Bethesda and it was fine in HD except when it rained or snowed. Never tried their internet but I thought they had high speed over their satellite?
