Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is not a fan of his Democratic colleagues' "disturbing" unwillingness to criticize President Barack Obama's executive actions that protected undocumented immigrants from deportation.
"It's very interesting. Democratic senators privately will admit all sorts of things," Cruz mused during a Newsmax TV interview published Monday. "But it's really disturbing: Democratic senators have been unwilling to stand up to this president, really on almost anything."
Cruz, a likely 2016 presidential contender, compared this alleged slavishness to Obama to how Republicans reacted when one of their own, former President Richard Nixon, was in the middle of the 1972 Watergate scandal.
"We've had presents in the past who have abused power. But when that has happened: When Richard Nixon abused power, Republican senators stood up to him and said, 'Mr. President, you've gone too far.' In fact, it was Republican senators who went to the Oval Office, … and said, 'Mr. President, it's time for you to resign,'" Cruz recalled. "What is strikingly missing are Democratic senators who have more commitment to the Constitution and rule of law than they do to their party."
Newsmax anchor John Bachman pointed out to Cruz that Democratic senators today would likely say Obama's controversies are not on the same scale as Watergate...

And Nixon wasn’t the one who ordered it. It was Colson. But Nixon is the one forever branded by this ‘crime’.
This is like how chewing gum or running in the hallways were the big infractions by school kids back in the day.
The regime today is making REAL slaves of all of us - not 100% immediately - just a little at a time, but also legislating our fate to kick in at various later dates.

Good points but AH wanted his country to win. He didn’t lose on purpose.
Nixon didn’t hate America as Zero does.
My previous statement was originally applied to Bill Clinton, btw. Nixon had far more class than him. He basically dared the congress to impeach him, and then when they did, he dared them to kick him out.
Nixon respected the office and resigned to avoid putting the country through an impeachment process. These Democrats are cut from a completely different cloth.

Obama doesn't want the US to "lose", per se. Obama is "fundamentally transforming" the US in preparation for it's conversion to sharia law and full-fledged membership with the caliphate.
Obama does not have a patriotic love for America. He only "loves" the freedoms American provides, many of which have been handed over to him by a negligent and incompetent Congress. He has taken advantage of our "tolerant society" by stealthily infiltrating our government with supporters of the jihad under the guise of "diversity" and political correctness. Obama is a taker and a destroyer. In the past 73 months, he has given us NOTHING of value.
You’re exactly right. He is using the benefits and protections afforded by our country to destroy same. A well known and used Communist tactic.
