Our candidates are in such a no win situation in today’s media environment. It will take a very savvy candidate and campaign staff to work through a two year campaign effectively enough to beat down both their opponent and the 24/7 media.

You get the leaders you deserve. Unfortunately the majority of the people in MA are deceived consciously or unconsciously by a spirit of evil. If Scott Brown spoke out boldly against abortion, homosexual marriage, and communist economic policies, he would have received about 20% of the vote (and I think I’m being generous). Although the cradle of the revolution, a model for the work ethic, and once a bastion of Christianity, today the remnant is indeed very small in MA.
No Christian would have to have been corrected by the likes of Stephanopoulos to barky’s remark in their interview about “My muslim faith”.
What Christian could make such an error?

This is one of the many things I do not get. Why do we give The Left free PR?
I wasn’t saying Brown had to become an instant classic conservative to win. He just needed convictions that a voter would not question on important issues going into the voting booth. But the opposite was true. Day to day you couldn’t be sure where he stood on many issues. It cost him in NH because he has always waffled on gun control.
Coming back to Walker,for example, I’m concerned early on that if you asked 10 republicans what Walkers stance on illegal immigration is, you would get 10 different answers. Or most would say they aren’t sure. However a lunatic like Liz Warren will scream her nutty stances from the rooftops and leave no doubt where she stands.
He’s won and won again in a slightly dem-leaning state and enacted real reform against democrat sacred cows.
