EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — The stepmother of missing Portland boy Kyron Horman has left her job as a mental health support specialist. Terri Horman's decision came days after a judge rejected her request for an anti-stalking order against a woman allegedly harassing her at work in Eugene... The 7-year-old boy went missing in June 2010 after Terri Horman dropped him off at his Portland school. An intense search came up empty.

Terri Horman has denied any involvement in Kyron's disappearance, and authorities have not labeled her a suspect.

Perhaps the kid simply ran away from home due to terminal name embarrassment ?

"Missing is a 1982 American drama film directed by Costa-Gavras, starring Jack Lemmon, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Mayron, John Shea, and Charles Cioffi. It is based on the true story of American journalist Charles Horman, who disappeared in the bloody aftermath of the US-backed Chilean coup of 1973 ..."

It’s in the article - apparently a self-appointed? online advocate for the kid.

I was thinking the same thing. Even if she didn't have anything to do with his disappearance, she should have been arrested for child abuse for calling her son Kyron.

She is the step mom, had nothing to do with naming the kid.
She also tried to hire the gardener to kill Kyron’s dad. She is pure evil and so far is getting away with it.

I followed that case closely at the time and fully believe the step-mother killed him and dumped his body somewhere. Nobody ever saw him at school that day even though she said she dropped him off. And then her mileage didn’t match what her regular travel would have been that day. She explains the extra mileage by claiming she drove her toddler around for an hour and a half on country roads that morning to soothe her earache.
