Walker Says He Is Unaware Whether Obama Is a Christian
The Washington Post ^ | Saturday, February 21, 2015 | Dan Balz and Robert Costa

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a prospective Republican presidential contender, said Saturday he does not know whether President Obama is a Christian.

“I don’t know,” Walker said in an interview at the JW Marriott hotel in Washington, where he was attending the winter meeting of the National Governors Association.

Told that Obama has frequently spoken publicly about his Christian faith, Walker maintained that he was not aware of the president’s religion.

“I’ve actually never talked about it or I haven’t read about that,” Walker said, his voice calm and firm. “I’ve never asked him that,” he added. “You’ve asked me to make statements about people that I haven’t had a conversation with about that. How [could] I say if I know either of you are a Christian?”

Walker said such questions from reporters are reflective of a broader problem in the nation’s political-media culture, which he described as fixated on issues that are not relevant to most Americans.

“To me this is a classic example of why people hate Washington and increasingly they dislike the press,” he said. “The things they care about don’t even remotely come close to what you’re asking about.”

Walker said he did not believe that most Americans care about such matters.“People in the media will [judge], not everyday people,” he said. “I would defy you to come to Wisconsin. You could ask 100 people, and not one of them would say that this is a significant issue.”

After the interview was completed, Walker spokeswoman Jocelyn Webster telephoned The Post to say the governor was trying to make a point of principle by not answering such kinds of questions, not trying to cast doubt on Obama’s faith.

“Of course the governor thinks the president is a Christian,” she said.“He thinks these kinds of gotcha questions distract from...

The more GOP candidates deal with the press this way, the more juvenile the press will become, which will make their biased antics more obvious to the LIV.

Told that Obama has frequently spoken publicly about his Christian faith...

Right. When he is not speaking publicly about his Muslim faith, yes, he speaks publicly about his Christian faith.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a prospective Republican presidential contender, said Saturday he does not know whether President Obama is a Christian

A) Walker didn't "say" anything. He responded to a question aksed of him.

B) Who aksed the question?

C)Did the person who aksed Walker if he thought Obola was a Christian also aks Obola if he thought Walker was a Christian?

D) Why is the question even necessary to aks?

The Current Occupant has spoken probably about as often of his “Christian” faith as he has spoken about his Islamic faith, and the Islamic faith seems to be guiding his actions.

“Defending the faith” no longer refers to Christianity alone.

Bravo!!! Well said.

It's about time STATESMEN (not mere politicians) stood up and told the smarmy jackasses in the press corps to stuff themselves.

Well,*I'm* aware. He was brought up a moslem, became an atheist who retained a soft spot in his heart for the Religion of Pieces simply because atheists and moslems have the same searing contempt for Christianity and the advanced civilization it made possible.

He's no Christian.Never has been, never will be.He pretends...because he knows it's a vital part of whatever credibility he might have.

Those kinds of thought control questions are asked to see what is in the innermost hearts and minds. You can assess the degree and control someone is subject to. In the case of Rubio, he can be controlled easily.
