Scott Walker’s spineless silence
The Washington Post ^ | February 20, 2015 | Editorial Board

Posted on 02/21/2015 1:27:31 PM PST by EveningStar

... At a private dinner Wednesday for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a likely candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani said: “I do not believe that the president loves America. He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up, through love of this country.”

Mr. Giuliani has dived off the deep end before, so there was nothing all that surprising in his latest poison. But as Post columnist Dana Milbank points out, his remarks presented an early test of character for Mr. Walker, and Mr. Walker failed spectacularly. At the dinner, the governor said nothing. Even the next morning, having had a night to ponder, Mr. Walker chose not to lift himself out of the Giuliani sewer. “The mayor can speak for himself. I’m not going to comment on what the president thinks or not. He can speak for himself as well,” ...

Oh, bull.

Guiliani can defend himself as can that creep in the White House.

They must be very worried about Walker.

Hope Rush keeps up the momentum.

Soooo... What did the president say when his pastor was letting the white world have it?

Oh, right, what am I saying, only Republicans are held to any standards. Foolish me.

Compost want their soundbite, so they can scream:
“Walker condemns Rudy, earn praise from Democrats. We might endorse him now.”

It must drive them crazy that he won’t provide the ammo for his own mugging.

Walker doesn’t need to say anything. All the people who would vote for him agree with Giuliani, except that Giuliani was too easy on The Great Traitor Obama.

The WaPo can go suck and egg. Is Walker supposed to comment on every statement made by every public figure?

This is a real leap by the Compost. So, Rudy’s words, correct words by the way, need to be defending by Walker?

Giuliani is right on the mark. No reason at all for Gov. Walker to contradict him. As for the Washington Post, it is a left wing rag. No surprise there. The left is out to get every conservative Republican who may be interested in running for President. If they had to have a Republican, they would much prefer a third Bush over Walker.

Oh. The Washington Post. Walker's a Republican, so out come the microscopes and telescopes. They didn't even begin to vet Dear Leader. Those guys can rot.

OK, did they expect Walker to jump out of his seat in red-faced, foaming-at-the-mouth fury, charge the speakers’ podium and proceed to beat Giuliani with a cane??? ;)

Spineless? The guy who fought the unions? What these liberals want is for Walker to get in the middle of a contrived controversy. I happen to agree with Giuliano. and I think Giulianii is very capable of defending himself.

Let’s hope voters will find at least some candidates in both parties who can meet the McCain standard
