Daily Beast quote They said that they were dubious that their partners in the Iraqi militarythe troops supposed to lead the offensivewould be capable of conducting such a campaign by then.
At 2:54 what is striking is that the White House and the National Security team which is run by Susan Rice, National Security advisor, never called over to the Pentagon, and never asked them what do you think? Tony Shaffer clip President has fired people for doing their jobs and gave a heads up on the military action.

cough , it’s really The Susan Rice plan ,
It seems like the military these day has a habit of telling the world what they have just developed or are going to do. Are they looking to see if it will be supported before they do it, being afraid of public opinion since the Vietnam war?
New Title:
“Valerie Jarad’s Plan Doubted by Unpurged Pentagon Officials”
When do the Generals begin to take serious their oath to defend the constitution?
If they are sending American soldiers into harms way knowing that they can not (or will not be allowed) to succeed, then they are traitors to this nation.
If Obama had been president during World War Two, he would have announced plans to invade Normandy in early June sometime around April, 1944.
I pray for our troops.
It’s not too hard to destroy these sand Neanderthals if that is what you truly want.
Helloo, is there any body home??? Did FDR or Winston Churchill tell the Germans when and where they’ll attack, on D-Day? What’s the matter with our military? Have they jst gone over the other side, because they don’t want to upset OBAMA? Is there anyone in Washington, that will speak against this MONSTER?
This is exactly what I’ve predicted since the Mosul plans were made public. There was no slippage of information. The goal was to give the enemy all the information it needed to make necessary adjustments. What will follow is a statement that such an ambitious plan will need to be shelved until 2017 at the earliest. And conveniently, Obama’s reign of terror will be done.
Not having any experience nor knowledge of strategic warfare, I still say bomb these monsters in every rat hole they exist on the planet. I don't get it. We have numerous photos of their convoys (yes, they move) and satellite intel to show where they are currently. ISIS is not like the Taliban who hide in mountain villages and behind women and children. They are out in the open every day.
If only we had a Patton, McArthur, or Eisenhower and a President that supported them. Go Dresdan on them and let the collateral damage be done. Time to rid the world of the scourge that is Islamic Radicals. Make a horrific example of them.
Although my long time hope has been with Israel, I'm not certain their politics will support "never again". My current hope is now with Egypt and Jordan. They are not concerned with world PC nor the UN. Let them eradicate this menace with "extreme prejudice".
Is Geraldo heading up the Pentagon’s PR?
If the U.S. military considers itself incapable of defeating a ragtag group of ISIS volunteers in Mosul even after months of preparation, there’s no reason to discuss potential U.S. military operations anywhere in the world.
If Vladimir Putin wants to take over Ukraine, who will stop him? At least up till now it was possible to have a rational discussion on the extent to which the U.S. should aid the Ukrainians. But that’s an absurd issue now since we know the U.S. can’t even be sure of defeating a few ISIS terrorists in Mosul let alone a Russian Army brigade or two in Kiev.
The president of Ukraine should understand that he has no choice but to surrender to Russia and save his people from inevitable slaughter.
And Americans should realize that reading about U.S. foreign policy is no more enlightening that reading about the foreign policy of Monaco or Lichtenstein, because without a military that can be taken seriously, the U.S. has no more influence over foreign affairs than those two countries.
Yo When.. I bet ValJar is having a hissy fit. How dare anyone doubt her military expertise?
-——seasoned military officers——
wonder who those officers are?
For students of military history, by the way, the numbers are astounding. The assault force outnumbered the defense force by only about 3/1, attacked into the face of prepared positions, and inflicted a 15/1 kill ratio. There really aren't enough superlatives for that. It still took six weeks.
I'd love to know if 2000 is a good number for ISIS assets or if it's something the public affairs folks pulled out of their nether regions. I'd suspect it might be more given the influx of foreign fighters, especially since they still have two months to get there at least, but in any case, that's very roughly comparable to those at Fallujah (3500-4000). This is not likely to be pleasant for anyone involved.
Pentagon plan?? - More like an Obama and Jarrett plan sent to the Pentagon.
