Brad Paisley - Little Moments

Well I’ll never forget the first time that I heard
That pretty mouth say that dirty word
And I can’t even remember now what she backed my truck into
But she covered her mouth and her face got red
And she just looked so darn cute
That I couldn’t even act like I was mad
Yeah I live for little moments like that

Well that’s just like last year on my birthday
She lost all track of time and burnt the cake
And every smoke detector in the house was goin’ off
And she was just about to cry until I took her in my arms
And I tried not to let her see me laugh
Yeah I live for little moments like that

I know she’s not perfect but she tries so hard for me
And I thank god that she isn’t ‘cause how boring would that be
It’s the little imperfections it’s the sudden change in plans
When she misreads the directions and we’re lost but holdin’ hands
Yeah I live for little moments like that

When she’s layin’ on my shoulder on the sofa in the dark
And about the time she falls asleep so does my right arm
And I want so bad to move it ‘cause it’s tinglin’ and it’s numb
But she looks so much like and angel that I don’t wanna wake her up
Yeah I live for little moments
When she steals my heart again and doesn’t even know
Yeah I live for little moments like that

Hi Fatima. Many choices here. “Little Guitars” by Van Halen or “Little Willy” by Sweet.

Good morning Pro ((HUGS))

Sorry, been busy at work. (was going to say tied up but with the release of Fifty Shades I have to rethink that use LOL).

No break in our weather; woke to 5F this morning and with wind chill it was in the negative numbers. Praying for a break soon.

I can not wait until spring. I wish I had a lot of leave as I would take a full week off once the weather got into the 60s!

I sure hope you are enjoying it.

I have a club meeting on Saturday but will try to do as much R&R as possible. We’re renting movies tonight and will have our granddaughter for an overnighter.

Anyhoo, it’s back to work.

Have a fantastically, funlicious FRiday and weekend.

Ol’ Hiram’s Goat”

Ol’ Hiram’s goat was feelin’ fine.

He ate six shirts right off the line.

Ol’ Nell came out and broke his back and tied him to the railroad track.

He gave six shrieks of mortal pain, coughed up those shirts and flagged the train!

It’s an old depression era ditty that my 98 year old Dad still sings to my grandchildren and their children.

Mrs. I and daughter thank you - they’re fans of the tune challenge - even gave up watching the “Downton Abbey” rerun to come up with their music this week - a real tribute.....

Good one - I would have had to go back to my childhood seventy years ago to come up with that one,,,,,

I've got another one but have to betray my ignorance (moreso than usual) to mention it - I knew Steven Sondheim had written a show called "A Little Night Music" (A Little Night Music - Send in the Clowns) but have no idea how that ties in with your "A Little Night Music" by Mozart - maybe Sondheim's show is about Mozart - anyhow......

Ol’ Hiram’s Goat”

Sounds a bit like “A Mule Named Charlie” from my old “Bozo the Clown” 78 rpm record

My classical music education was earned watching Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and Popeye cartoons long ago! Plus, in 4th-grade school music class, we learned 10-classical songs and then had a special dress-up night to see a live orchestra and we took a test and got a certificate for properly naming song/artist (correct spelling, too) .

I found “A Little Night Music” by Mozart wandering around YouTube listening to “oldies” which I seem to do a lot now days.

Steven Sondheim! You are so sophisticated! My favorites are "The Music Man" and "Bye-Bye Birdie". Man, am I old.
