This is the fallout of the fall of mankind. The Lord can round up as many people of a particular destiny as He chooses to appear in a particular age. That shouldn’t stop us, any more than it stopped Paul, from “looking for the elect.” If a sincere missionary goes out there, chances are that God has already lined up an audience for his message.

Two things need to be kept in mind about Sodom & Gomorrah:

(1) The Abrahamic bargain. How many righteous are left? It had gotten down to only evil (today we would say unsaved).

(2) A very peculiar observation of Jesus, that if the miracles that Israel ignored had been done in Sodom and Gomorrah they would... yes, have repented. I didn’t put that in the bible, it’s already there.

A gospel offensive is the only thing that makes sense... really it is the only thing that ever made sense ever, but sometimes it takes a situation like this to force awareness of the necessity upon us.
