As Jazz Shaw notes, educated enough to get elected three times in four years.
Yeah, this guys pretty dumb:
Howard Dean: How well-educated is Walker? / Scott Walker, Republicans
"This is a particular problem for Scott Walker which has not been an issue yet, but it will. Scott Walker, were he to become president, would be the first president in many generations who did not have a college degree. So the issue here is not just the issue of dancing around the question of evolution for political reasons, the issue is, how well educated is this guy?"
I share Scarboroughs indignation. This is a cheap and snide attempt to question Scott Walkers intelligence and therefore his fitness to serve as president. Because he didnt earn his Bachelors degree, were told, GOP primary voters should look to other candidates. This is absurd.
First, Dean knows full well some of the best U.S. presidents did not graduate from college. He says as much. Still, the point is worth reemphasizing: Lincoln -- whose birthday is today, as it happens -- did just fine without that prestigious qualification. Ditto Harry Truman. I'd rather vote for a candidate for president today, who has demonstrable leadership abilities and a strong record to run on, than an alumnus of Columbia University and Harvard Law School who had...neither of these things. Sorry.
Second, what a revealing argument. In Deans estimation, those who didnt graduate college are unknowledgeable. Could his characterization be any more patronizing? For what its worth, I attended and graduated from college, but do I know more about advising presidents than Karl Rove or entrepreneurism than the late Steve Jobs? For that matter, do I know more about governing than Scott Walker? Hell no. The more one thinks about these things, the more one realizes how practically irrelevant a college degree can sometimes be. Scarborough's right.
Dont get me wrong: a college degree is not nothing. It opens doors of opportunity. But lacking one should not be disqualifying for the presidency -- especially when the constitutional requirements for occupying that office say nothing about obtaining one.
Scott Walker's a smart guy. Those who suggest otherwise are dead wrong and should be called out.
Educated enough to whip the democrats 3 times in a row.
Smart guy.
Too many Mehhicccans, though.
Gosh.
“Democrat criticises Republican.”
News at 11.
I have to say that some of the most educated people I know are dumber than a box of rocks while some moderately educated people are much smarter because they have a balance of education and common sense. I would much rather have the second scenario. As far as I know, there is no education requirement to be POTUS.
Halp Us Howerd Deen- We R Stuk Hear With Brak
These so called most educated people are really nothing but educated idiots
Plus totally beat his opposition’s attempt at a recall election being one of them. Wonder how educated Gray Davis was?
Although he didn’t GRADUATE, he attended college for three years, which is enough time to get whatever is useful out of it.
The reason that Walker is attacked is exactly the reason that upsets democrats the most.
The Walker appeal to the common man. Many people are no longer impressed by the job the Harvard-Yale types have done running this country.
They pretend to be so smart, but appear totally inept lacking any common sense.
With plenty of gullible people who follow them too.
Harry S. Truman is the most recent U.S. president who had not earned a college degree. When his high school friends went off to the state university in 1901, Truman enrolled in Spalding’s Commercial College, a Kansas City business school, but stayed for one semester. In 192325 he took night courses towards a law degree at the Kansas City Law School (now the University of MissouriKansas City School of Law), but dropped out after losing his government job.[15]
Just about as well educated as that tyrant sitting in the WH. Supposedly three colleges, yet not one transcript.
Let’s compare academic records of all candidates and elected officials . . . starting with Ubama’s.
Oldplayer
Where is the proof? Where are the transcripts?
I would argue that trade school is for anything but idiots, because you have to learn about as much about marketing your skills as the skills involved. For instance, I know as much about finding people who need help with construction as an electrician as I know about handling electrical systems. However, what I have found among plenty of educated people are the same problems as the non educated, including gullibility, stubbornness, and complacency with the status quo.
Bill Gates and Michel Dell did not complete college either. Would Dean question their intelligence?
Going to Harvard is not saying much. Considering that O’Reilly did as well, and a number of other people, on itself, it does not mean much.
Like Rush says, you can tell who the liberals fear by who they attack. Howard couldn’t shine Scott Walker’s shoes.
