Complete agreement. Don’t care if he didn’t finish college. Some of the smartest people I know didn’t.

I do care if he will uphold the rule of law.
I will not vote for any candidate that will not uphold the rule of law.

NO AMNESTY!

And I don’t mean that the way GWB or McCain mean when they say it.

Fraudulently Documented Foreigners are not immigrants and deserve no accomodation. If they wish to be Americans they can demonstrate that by returning home and applying and following the laws. That is the essential first step to becoming an American. Violating all of our laws is not.

Scott Walker just seems like the nice, yet determined guy next door. He’s not offensive (Christie and to some extent, Cruz) and he just humbly and politely does what he says he’s going to do. He’s not a firebrand, but he seems to be a low-key, get-the-job-done, strong and honest guy.

Most sitting governors do not have much experience with foreign policy. He is the governor of a large state and has administrative experience, which Cruz does not have, and that is pretty important too.

For the same reason they fear Ted Cruz .. neither of these two men can be intimidated.

They’re not afraid of the media, the democRATS or the nattering nabobs.

Not only that....he made it apparent to the Union rank and file..that he was telling them the truth.

“I would rather be governed by the first 100 names in the Boston phone directory than the entire staff of Harvard.”

Quote from William F. Buckley

He was not making a joke, even though it is a hilarious condemnation of the Ivy School elitists. Buckley went to Yale and knew of which he speaks.

I would suggest that Scott Walker borrow this from Buckley ever time he is asked about his academic record.

A horde of educrats are bombarding my local lib rag, The La Crosse Tribune, with letters to the editor. “This is end of modern civilization” they wail. Their heads are exploding as they vent their rage at Walker cutting into their sinecures and trying to make them accountable to the taxpayer.

Scott Walker should respond to the college charges saying that the U.S. has been brought to the present day conditions by college grads, so it’s a feather in his cap that he isn’t one.

You said nothing about deportation, but you’re apparently against any form of amnesty whatsoever, right? So then, how do you enforce the law? Throw them in jail instead? Remember, they’re lawbreakers, so any options other than deporting them or jailing them will have the hardliners claiming that you support amnesty.

Seriously, what would you do that would not involve incarceration or deportation, but could not be construed as a form of amnesty?

I would make it illegal to hire illegals AHEAD of US citizens. Then, I would make it impossible for anyone here illegally to obtain citizenship OR voting privileges. No benefits either, none except ER treatment, without proper ID. A lax attitude toward law and order is spelling doom for America, and it is happening rapidly. If Scott Walker isn’t alarmed by what is happening, I’m not interested, even though I believe that he is a good guy. Blessings, Bob

I’ve no argument with your citizenship or voting or benefits treatment of illegals, nor do I argue with your hiring illegals ahead of U.S. citizens. In fact, they shouldn’t be hired at all since they’re illegal, but if you really mean that once they’re made legal, by getting a green card say, that we have to set up a procedure to keep them from getting any job before a citizen, I think that would be extremely cumbersome to set up. What if the citizen isn’t qualified, for example, but wants the job anyway? If they’re legal, let the chips fall where they may. In other words, decide whether to make them legal, but once that’s done, keep the government out of hiring decisions.

As for Walker, there’s a difference between being alarmed and wanting to do something, and shouting “NO AMNESTY” at every opportunity, which I think is just stupid politically. Again, no candidate will do so, so anyone wanting that is going to find themselves sitting out the next election.

I case you did not read, Ted Cruz is AGAINST deporting illegals who have not broken any other laws. That is not amnesty? Sorry to burst your bubble about Cruz.

Actually except for a few fringe candidates who are NOT running for president in 2016, every major candidate of 2016 is AGAINST deportation of illegals who have established a home in the United States.

Deporting is impractical, after decades of lawlessness. What Cruz will stop is any march toward citizenship for illegals.

Cruz or any one else can NOT stop march towards US citizenship after awarding the illegals resident status. Current laws makes one eligible for citizenship AUTOMATICALLY after 3 years on permanent resident status. That is how I got my US citizenship.

I like Cruz, and he is among my top 3 list. But Cruz alone can not change any laws. The only people talking about path to citizenship for illegals are Democrats. I have not heard ANY republican candidate talk about path to citizenship similar to how legal residents like myself were awarded citizenship.

My assessment is that Cruz will reverse some of the madness. I believe that Walker will not. I would vote for either, but I think we can count on Ted to stand up and make the case on ALL conservative issue in a way that Walker and most others are incapable. Watching punching bag GWB for 8 years was sickening, and I never want another who is not forceful and articulate. Blessings, Bob

You are not clear on how laws are changed/Reversed in our government system.

Executive orders are NOT laws.
Any new president can nullify all previous executive orders with a stroke of this pen.

If Cruz is elected president, he can NOT reverse any EXISTING laws.

A law goes into effect ONLY after congress passes a bill and president signs it.

The EXISTING Law says “Any permanent resident of USA is ELIGIBLE to apply for US citizenship after 3 years”.

Neither Gohmert, Steve King, Cruz, Walker or anyone else can reverse that law without congress partnership.

98% of US politicians are for giving productive illegals permanent residence in USA.

Cruz has many good issues. Status of Illegals is not one of them. Stop dreaming of Cruz being unique on the immigration issue. 98.5% of all politicians are against deportation which essentially means giving them Green card.
