Dad Saw Text on Son’s Phone Reminding Him to Complete Islam Assignment. Then He Opened

A father in Seminole County, Florida, is raising concerns after he discovered a lesson on Islam in his son’s 10th-grade history textbook, a book that is also used by school districts across the state.

In an interview with WFTV, the father, Ron Wagner, read from his son’s history book:

“There is no god, but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God.”

Wagner also claimed that students were told to “recite this prayer as the first Pillar of Islam, off of the board at the teacher’s instruction.”

Wager said he’s not a religious man, but making such a heavily religious lesson “mandatory and part of the curriculum” just “didn’t seem right.” He wasn’t even aware such lessons were being taught until he saw a text on his son’s phone from a teacher — a reminder to complete his prayer rug assignment and study an assigned packet on Islam.

The textbook in question is titled “World History” by publisher Prentice Hall. WFTV has more on the content in the chapter on Islam:

Inside of the book is a chapter dedicated to the “Rise of Islam,” including prayers and scriptures from the Quran. What’s more disturbing for Wagner is that the first 100 pages discussing Judaism and Christianity are missing. The district blames a manufacturer defect in 68 books that are only a year old.

And having "converted" to Islam, even if you did not intend to, if you then practice Christianity or anything else, you are guilty of apostasy, and subject to being killed...

Which means giving this assignment should be grounds for instant termination ... and I don't mean employment.

I hadn’t thought of that. It is a good point.

Sort of puts the lie to the school’s excuse unless maybe the company gave them the books for free due to the mistake. Nah, I wouldn’t even take them for free.

Let’s put it all together. Indoctrinating kids to accept the Death Cult. Helping Iran build its nuclear bomb. Valerie jarret in the White House. Decision to NOT exterminate IS. Refusal to exterminate boko haram. Hatred for Israel.

Should I go on?

Get it?

According to Islam once you repeat the Shahada you have converted to Islam. So this teacher is asking his students, as well as the book, to convert to Islam.

What it does include ….. is the Shahada and the Five Pillars of Islam. The Shahada is an Islamic creed declaring belief in the oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God’s prophet. It is recited to convert someone to Islam. That’s right… they are actively converting your children to their religion.

“”I am sure that the local school teacher is simply ignorant of the subject she is teaching. I’m not sure about the textbook authors.””

Does anyone know what the teacher/school/school district/school board has to say about this? I should think there would be a real stink raised over the issue. I would hope the father isn’t just going to complain and let it go.....

There is a video on the blaze - an interview with a school official. This teaching of Islam is part of common core.

This battle has been going on for over a year in this district. A search on you tube with search terms “Florida + Islam + School” will give more videos showing demonstrations by parents.

this video is from 2013.

Hundreds of parents, angry at what they say is a biased student textbook with a decided pro-Islam slant, have launched a campaign demanding equal religious representation. The book, “World History,” devotes fully 32 pages — an entire chapter — on “Muslim Civilizations,” including descriptions of the Koran and a listing of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Thanks - Blaze is sketchy to link to but I’ll give it another try. I try to stay away from it. I’m glad Megan is on this as she is a bulldog. At least she makes a lot of noise but whether or not it bears results is another thing. I sure hope so.

“There is no god, but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God.”

From a muslim’s viewpoint this is all you have to say to make yourself a Muslim. Say it around a Muslim and you will be considered to have converted. Requiring children to say this in a classroom is a sneaky way to run around converting people to Islam without them knowing.

The father should be pissed at people doing this to his child. He should sue there asses off for parental interference and violation of his freedom of religion. Go after the textbook publisher too.

“There is no god, but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God.”

In the following, I may have repeated the same idea several times. It is hard to get a grasp on the truth of the matter even though it is a simple one. I want to make it clear. The message is a sober one for all religious people. It is a warning about "works" that man can judge and are outside of His law. The time of picking the good fruit and the destruction of the bad tree will come in God's time:

Matthew 7:15-23

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

Christ makes his case very plainly. One may do impressive works--miracles--but works are not of God.

Those who would call Jesus, “Lord, Lord" (for double emphasis) may not be sincere and do it for show. The idea that a believer must prove out their salvation is false teaching. A false prophet deceives men by performing works to prove their salvation. So to obey the Lord and the reward of eternal salvation one must obey His command and trust alone in Him alone for eternal life. Since this is a thing of the heart, no deeds are required. The good fruit is the spirit of the heart which, through faith, confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior. Through faith in Jesus Christ, one does the will of the Father. The only work which will please God in terms of salvation is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone for eternal life, and this is no work at all. If we rely on our obedience for our salvation, we have failed. If we think our faithful church attendance, tithing, serving as a church officer, writing, speaking, teaching, holding crusades attended by millions, and murdering fellow human beings in the name of Allah will bring us salvation, we are lost. All our righteousness are as filthy rags.

The will of the Father is stated by Paul in Romans 3:20-28:

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in his sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God which is through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth to be a propitiation by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time his righteousness, that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

We can teach others the truth and the good news of salvation. God alone can judge the heart and the lawless ones. However, we can judge the deeds of the lawless.

there are actually two videos at the Blaze. One is short, and the other is the raw full version..abt. 17 min.

I don’t recall the principle saying anything about the books being defective. I understood him to say that teaching Christianity and Judaism occurs in earlier classes. I’m curious as to what they do teach regarding Judaism and Christianity. Are the students required to cite prayers, or make alters or design crosses?

I don’t recall ANYTHING being taught about religion in my highschool history classes, only that different religions exist and fought against one another, but we never really knew why.

In my opinion, the school/textbook/school district in question goes way, way, too far in it’s teaching about Islam. These people know that kids are impressionable and that’s the reason why religion was made exempt from the classroom in the first place. The school is not a place of secondary education (college or university) where more details should exist (under current separation of church and state laws), and the steps taken by this public school represent indoctrination into a specific religion especially since prayers are recited, and prayer rugs are required.

I am presuming that the students will be required to utilize those rugs in order to ‘experience’ this religion. Were any of the students required to be tied by the wrists to a cross to experience that, too? I doubt it and it might seem silly to even ask that question, but how else does one justify causing a kid to repeat a prayer which indoctrinates him into a state sponsored religion and make a prayer rug?

Why do I say ‘state sponsored’? The school is a state and federal agency, and they are sponsoring Islam to the point where each student is being taught the 5 pillars of that religion to the point of speaking the indoctrination prayer.

The principle in the video refused to say exactly what changes were made in the classroom so until those changes are announced, as far as I am concerned, that school IS indoctrinating the children, and placing them in harm’s way.

Christian parents, you would be wise to teach your kids the Ten commandments because the first four are vital. They must never bow to any god but YHVH. Make sure your kids know the difference between the gods.

Defective?

Repair it, replace it, or refund the money.

That's how it works. So where is the refund money?

If there isn't any, why are the people in the school district paying top dollar for defective merchandise?

Otherwise, it is an intentional establishment of religion by a State entity and should be forbidden, Constitutionally. (Assuming the teacher even recognizes what they have done--and if not, they should be educated.)
