Good point. It should be “pre-apocalyptic”

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

I spend most of my days in my hangar at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima. It is literally Tijuana. They do not pay for trash service, but they all throw their trash right out front and the city still picks it up, I see a whole host of furniture and appliances on the sidewalks everyday being dumped. There is a restaurant in somebody’s front yard on every block. They really do live like peasants, I have seen countless females change their child diaper and throw it on the ground when there is a trashcan within 50 feet usually. These are Obama’s Americans, and it is where they want the rest of us to end up.

Los Angeles does have large item pick-ups but I guess people are too lazy to make the call.

I know you are right, I have traveled extensively including La, it is like another country.. Yep. I've been all over the U.S. and it's everywhere. Those who deny either live in the remote sticks, or are being deceitful.
Very unfortunate path we're all going down.

In my city they toss litter without thought wherever they stand. In grocery stores they wander through eating without paying, dropping wrappers on shelves, in food bins, on the floor. Dirty disgusting nasty habits.

30-40 tons per day in a city the size of LA is not that much; I doubt it’s even a dozen truckloads.

In addition to the illegals, watch the school age kiddies... My then 10 year old son and his friend Jake were in the park across the street from my house, I saw them toss their empty water bottles on the grass. I got a couple of trash bags and made them pick up every bit of the trash out of that park, took them about two heavily supervised hours to do it.
My son's friend Jake was not happy about me making him do it but he did it anyway.
Now's the time for me to mention that Jake's grand father is the chief of police in our town, I know him well. The next time I saw the chief, he thanked me profusely for making his grand son do that. It seems that Jake ratted me out to his grampa, hoping to get me in trouble, it didn't work with his parents or his police chief grampa.
Jake's a good kid and still comes around here. I think I taught both those boys a lesson that day.

Only five million for thirteen people? They need to raise taxes! But just on the "rich".

I understand not throwing tissue down the crapper if its on a septic system. But is it against the law to throw it down there period?
LOL. Those of us with septics just get it pumped every year or two. I am not having a pile of poop covered paper in a can next to me-yech. I see this a lot in the Hispanic restaurants in the area.
