Jordan said Thursday it had launched air strikes against the Islamic State group, after vowing a harsh response to the burning alive of one of its fighter pilots.
"The Jordanian air force launched raids against positions of the Islamic State group," said a government official, who did not want to be named.
Meanwhile the gruesome death of Moaz al-Kasasbeh drew a torrent of condemnation across the world.
Hashtags to express grief over Kasasbeh's death have taken over Twitter only hours after the news broke out on Tuesday, Al Arabiya News reported Wednesday.

Per day? That's a whale of a lot of oil. Nobody can convince me that these tankers cannot be stopped as they smuggle oil out of these territories. That's where drones should be targeted. A month's worth of drone strikes would put a real crimp in their style. How come that's not in Obama's bag of tricks?

Wanted to say you are right here when I read your comments. Yes, the countries there should be doing more, a lot more. Thinking though that the same logic for why the United States got involved in World War II applies here. This is an evil that must be wiped off the face of the Earth.
I think Morsi’s time as come. I believe this could be the beginning of alliance with (shock) Israel, if Morsi’s joins the scrum with Jordan. I can dream.

But , the UAE pulled its planes out after the Jordanian Pilot was shot down. So Jordan retaliates - it is the Islamic culture for them to retaliate - an eye for eye a tooth for a tooth. A pilot for someone on the other side. It is a love hate relationship - they will love you till you stab them than hate you till someone elses stabs them in the back. That is why the Arabs have the problems they do. ISIS, ISIL whatever their name being used arabic derogartory DAESH, is just the learned educated who have the criminals doing the dirty work.

He's still a moslem. I'm glad he's beating up on ISIS. It needs to be done; the more people doing it the better. That doesn't mean I want him to be POTUS.
