Washington (CNN)During a "Family Reunion" conference hosted by the Hispanic Leadership Network in April 2013, Jeb Bush spoke freely on the promise immigrants hold for America and his views on reform.
He said, during a discussion with Univision, that it was "ridiculous" to think that DREAMers, children brought to the U.S. by their parents illegally, shouldn't have an "accelerated path" to citizenship.
Then, the former Florida governor was speaking to a friendly audience of establishment Republicans, after re-inserting himself in the immigration reform with the release of a controversial book on the issue a month prior.
But as he moves towards a probable presidential run, and the far less friendly terrain of the GOP primary fight, the comments, which were shared with CNN by Democratic tracking firm American Bridge, are certain to deepen already developing headaches for him on both the left and especially the right, as conservatives react in a mixture of bewilderment and eye-rolling when confronted with some of Bush's resurfaced lines on immigration.
"I've never felt like the sins of the parents should be ascribed to the children, you know," Bush said in 2013. "If your children always have to pay the price for adults decisions they make how fair is that? For people who have no country to go back to which are many of the DREAMers it's ridiculous to think that there shouldn't be some accelerated path to citizenship."

Jeb Bush is a member of American Action Forum, which together with the Hispanic Leadership Network share office space with the Karl Rove affiliated Crossroads GPS/American Crossroads.
The Hispanic Leadership Network developed the "earned legal status", and "undocumented immigrant" talking points. Talking points used by Obama's executive decrees.

> If they want to be citizens so badly, why not go through the procedure?
It’s easier to steal.
George III is going to kill the GOP-e. There it is.
At this point I’m convinced that the ONLY reason this guy will run is to provide Amnesty. Everything else will be an afterthought to him.
No mention of “Act of love” statement?
At the very least they would all legalize those here now illegally. Green Cards, Drivers Licenses etc.
They all would increase the number of Visas to put us out of work as well.
The biggest difference among them is whether any future legislation provides a "Path to Citizenship" for illegals.
That's because they are all REPUBLICANS and Republicans are the political arm of the Chamber of Commerce and Wall Street.
See my tagline.
They want nothing less than a one-world currency controlled by them followed by a one-world government, again controlled by them.
The Bushes are not in favor of sovereignty, rule of law or representative democracy. They are monarchists who believe they should be in control and enforce royal succession.
The rich elites believe in over population and are doing their best to control masses of people. The government also wants to control your health-care money. Obama and the Bushes and everyone else in Washington agree on that one thing.
Yet you want government to override your husband or wife and take control of your final moments by a redefinition marriage!
The story that I always heard was that Reagan was forced to take Bush. That Reagan came out of a meeting, pale and visibly shaken.
Bush almost got to be president soon after the election.
Nothing like the Bush/Clinton Dynasty.
Repopulating...Detroit....with “immigrants” may be the most stupid concept I’ve been exposed to ...in weeks at least.
Its okay I had my Jeb Bush shots last week.
Bush was CIA through and through.
*Snif* Do you smell that? It smells like the New World Odor.
Bush blew his foot off with that amnesty loving crap. He is now politically finished. NO AMNESTY JEB!!and go back in your hole.
Obviously I would never vote for Hillary, but even she would be on the list ahead of Jeb Bush. Not in 10 million lifetimes would I vote for Jeb Bush.
But he's in for a rude primary awakening. They both are.
*Note that (C) still leaves them short 2 EVs lol.
Ugh. He looks like a fat old woman. Why do we get such crap from the Establishment?
Completely.
Certainly not any conservatives. It just confirmed what we already know.
I will never forget his bragging about the NWO after I finally got my brother back safely from the frontline trenches of that war.
