Tyler Williams, 24, is proud to have a diploma from an elite liberal arts college. Though it can be awkward in job interviews to explain how he happened to receive one from Bryn Mawr.
Yet such conversations are becoming more common as a small but growing number of transgender people are graduating from women's colleges across the country - and, in the process, are raising difficult questions about what it means to be a women's-only institution.
Those include: how to accommodate students who enrolled as women but came to identify as male while on campus, and whether to admit transgender women - people who were raised as male but identify as female.

This dump, Haverford, and Swarthmore are a riduculous sum of money for a BS in BS.
If you think you became a man, then why would you be entitled to attend a women’s college. These people are troubled and completely full of it. Attention getting doesn’t begin to describe them.
Regarding the LGBT peoples, in which the T stands for transgendered, does anyone else get the impression that the media has been pushing the T part of LGBT much more in the past couple of years??? An approving article such as this is a prime example.
Its as if, now that the battle over homosexual marriage is just about over, now they need to.move the goal posts and move on to more and more disturbing and bizarre behaviors, and then work towards normalizing those behaviors, and desensitizing the rest of us to these bizarre people.
If I were a business owner, I’d never hire a known transgender person or any other known pervert for that matter, no matter how qualified. That would be just asking for trouble somewhere down the line.
Makes sense, to make the Ls Gs and Bs seem even more normal by comparison.
Catering to the mentally ill doesn’t add much prestige to that diploma.
So sad.

Yes, and when they get it accepted to the level of LGB then they’ll start with P.
Tragic
It makes perfect sense, as a “liberal” institution costing bookoo dollars with little or no benefit to the student.
Progressives are like children, who always must test their boundaries. Children do this to confirm that there are limits within which they can feel safe. Progressives probably engage in this behavior for the same reason, but since no one ever establishes a boundary, they just keep pushing and pushing.
They might complain about a societal boundary, but the evidence is that they are not happy when they succeed in breaking one of those boundaries. They just push for more, like spoiled children.
Bruce is 65, so he’s getting up there. I wonder if he waited until all his Olympics colleagues were dead before he started this nonsense.
I recall a couple lesbians making out on the train and getting off at Bryn Mawr. The one was incredibly hot.
